house of a 1000 corpses...that was disturbingly stupid didya guys ever see the movie "May"? its pretty disturbing but i kinda thought it was funny...maybe cuz im weird you should check it out oh and welcome to the dollhouse...it was yet again disturbing in a REALLY funny way...actually i think this one was supposed to be funny...a bunch of 11 year old kids running around saying "meet me after school cuz im gonna rape you"
agreed. After seeing Requiem for a Dream I said "That was really good. I hope I never have to see it again."
Well, I in no way what so ever find any of these movies disturbing, but everyone I have spoken to have found them very quite disturbing. Subconscious Crulty Cannibal Holocaust Audition (which I enjoyed very much) Gummo Kissed Aftermath Last House On The Left Visitor Q And many more, but I think that all of these movies are brilliant.
i found kids to be disturbing, at the time, because it pretty fairly represented the crowd of people i hung around with. (well, except that as far as i know, none of em had aids...) silence of the lambs. awesome movie, but creepy no matter how many times i watch it. house of 1000 corpses wasn't disturbing exactly...just wierd, and kind of hard to follow.
i have to say that people under the stairs, absolutely freaked me out, but then i watched it when i was about five and have refused to watch it since so you know if i did watch it now it might not freak me out as much
no doubt: "requiem for a dream" the last ten minutes are incredible. "Suicide Club" & "Kairo" : Japanese cinema rulez. "Eraserhead" but I didn't take it serious, everybody know David Lynch is out of his mind LOL. Ah! and "American Beauty"
Last house on the left, The Changeling, and Mothman Prophecies were all good Well, he steals from people, pawns off what he can, and uses the money to buy and sell drugs. He is also a compulsive liar. I have no idea what he is doing now. My parents kicked him out and sent him back to Missouri last August. I have not had contact with him since. Though, I suspect he may be posting under a certain rapper's nickname.
The movie that is near the top of the list for disturbing movies that i have seen is actually called "happiness"
I haven't really seen a lot of really disturbing movies (plenty of gory ones, but to me it's not disturbing) but the one that sticks out in my mind is Feardotcom... My god, it scared the shit out of me. I'm really weak when it comes to torture movies...
Migle's right, suicide club was really troubling... Another really messed up J flick is Ichi The Killer, I didn't sleep after this movie, but not really out of fear, or revulsion. http://www.nsfwnews.com/olsencountdown.html I haven't seen many american movies that disturbed me this much lately Except for maybe 'The Passion', whole time i was just sitting there thinking, how did this crap get made into a movie? It was prety much a snuff film.
i dont know if its already been said - but, "Trainspotting" has definatly one of the hardest fuckin scenes ever seen by me, and yes i seen a lot - the scene of the dead baby on the cieling crawling towards the junky while he is kickin the habit and then it turns his head, and the scene where the baby dies from neglect, and the first comment is "i'll cook us up a hit" - stills turns my stomach, and ive seen it like 40+ times - maybe im obsessed with it - i dont know - PL&P
Boys Don't Cry and Requiem For A Dream were already mentioned, but I thought I'd reiterate them. Particularly Requiem--no movie has ever wrenched my heart like that. I watched it before going to bed, and I was so moved afterwards I stayed up for about 2 hours just thinking about it.
I found that Bloody Sunday was very disturbing as the violence was very realistic. But a brilliant movie nevertheless.
