    So you say watching bad soaps is good for american economy ? I bet lots of old ladies will have patriotic feelings from now on :D

    american soap operas are a waste of time.
    see my aunt watches potuguese soaps but those are actually atright
    im not even gonna start with the spanish
    i dont have to understand to know its bad:D

    I find it quite funny to watch old american soaps (badly) translated in french ..


    Soaps suck :D

    They are called soaps because in the 50's , soap companies would sponsor and present those shows ..

    Early soap operas were sponsored by soap companies. This was back when one TV show, one sponsor was common. Since soap companies each had their own "daytime drama", the term "soap operas" became a synonym.
