My son took me to see Napolean yesterday. A great movie, but you can tell it was taken from a much longer movie which is coming to Apple TV. This is the piece by Alexander Smirnov. I enjoy the work of historical artists from that period around the early 1800's. When I was in Paris back in 2012, I bought an 1807 lithograph by Horace Vernet, Bataille de Friedland, which showed Napolean with his generals at the front during a decisive war that Russia lost. I have several lithographs of Napolean from the 1800's.
