Something's wrong with the sexual identity of Bush and certain groups that follow him if they feel so threatened that they want to have a Constitutional amendment banning gay marriage. Hey man why come on all defensive, you have come to a political forum presumably to express your political views but when asked to explain them in anything more than simplest detail and you clam up tighter than a ducks arse.

What gives?

Are you somehow frightened that your viewpoint might not stand up to scrutiny? If so, why are you sure they are worth having?

"I support strict adherence to the US Constitution and all that that entails. Period."

But that is the very problem just what does that actually "entail"?

I’m asking you to set out how you think ‘strict adherence to the US Constitution’ would work, this is your moment to shine to wow us with your theories and ideas, but instead of enthusiasm we get reticence.
I’m honestly curious as to why?

Point I know you can’t choose who supports you but when they are of the calibre of Rob they are really more of a hindrance than a help when it comes to you credibility.

 

My dear Point I don’t think you can dictate who responds to your posts?

So I think I will continue to point out the many inconsistencies and flaws in your arguments. I will also continue to ask why you often continue to believe in some ideas when they don’t seem to stand up to the smallest amount of scrutiny and that it is clear from your own posts that you cannot defend them against such criticism.

If you wish to ignore my contributions over the rather feeble excuse of ‘boredom’ (oh that sounds so sulky teenager) then I think people can make up their own opinion as to what are the real reasons.

Shaggie, on the surface this may appear to be off-topic.

However, if you continue to explore this theme of our collective neurotic preoccupations, you can connect a lot of the psycho-sexual dots that masquerade as mere political issues.

 

Pat Robertson feels the need to populate the earth with Christians. He was offering women $500 to have a baby. His said he did it because he feels that America is underpopulated. I think it's more of a fear that people of other religions may out-populate Christians and that somehow the Christian faith will go extinct. Many women took the 'money for babies' idea as derogatory.

Given that true Christianity is not some inherent trait one possesses by being born into a particular society, nor by reason of the beliefs of one's parents, all Mr Robertson is advocating is the increase in the population of more indoctrinated bigots like himself. Neither he nor his message have any relation to the message of Christ nor its injunctions.

US "Christianity" is predominantly a pop fad platform for preaching hatred, exclusionary elitism and war. Time they took Matthew Chapter 7 to heart and did some real self reflection on the fruit they bear in our society.
