I remember in DeKalb County, Georgia, it was about 1968 - 1969 and girls were not allowed to wear pants to school!

My mother got special permission for me to wear pants on the morning bus and to take them off in the first bathroom I came to in the school, so my legs wouldn't be cold at the bus stop.

 

Oh yeah. I remember that stuff too. Imagine getting a Mohawk and getting kicked out of school! Happened at my high school in the 50s. Those people that were offended by a couple of Mohawks would be apoplectic at the sight of some of the kids now!

You would think that there could be more productive ways for time and money to be spent rather than enforcing a dress code that is acceptable most places in the world.

I always think of yoga pants as something burned out mommies such as myself wear when putting on jeans is too much energy. I dont think of them as having sex appeal.
