Monogamous Friend

I recently contacted someone from a social media forum. I indicated I was looking for gay friends (not sex partners, a soulmate, or life partner). One man who responded said that he would like it if we could be monogamous friends.
I have no idea what he could mean. Any thoughts?

 

I'd just ask him more clearly what he means!

 

I'm thinking it's his way of protected sex. He's cautious of catching any STDs. Having one lover helps insure its safe

 

think it means only having one sexual partner .. that's not much fun
