Modest Mouse, anyone?

Wooo! I love love love Modest Mouse. They're so so so my heart. What does MTV have to do with selling out? That just means more people will see them now and realize how GREAT they are and then they will buy more albums which will feed the hungry mouths of the Modest Mouse clan and make it so they can afford to make more great music. So I support them going on MTV and making it big.

 

Theres a super slim chance my brother's might play with them sometime this summer. They want a local band to play at their concert, so my bro's band might be the one. I don't listen to them much, but they sound cool (from what I've heard)

 

yes i love them.... i was in high school with two of them, my brother played with them a few times before they took off in there music.

i really like the new album also.

there is everything modest about modest mouse, yet their sound stands out from everyone else, i really have enjoyed their new realse "good news for people who like bad news", they seem to communicate with me in a diffrent way, the lead singer has a great mind and a diffrent voice, when i first heard them i thought of guys like david bryne or maybe bowie, but without all the flash. Modest makes some great points. and some good guitar work. There is nothing to relax to though.

yeah i agree, the earlier stuff is way better but there new stuff isnt bad at all

 

I have only ever heard Third Planet and Wild Pack of Family Dogs but those were awesome.

 

i just heard them for the first time about a month or so ago. i think the song was bukowski from their new cd. i really dig that song. what are some of their better cds, so that i can really check them out.

I tried to watch them at Leeds Festival in August, but the bass was that loud my heart was hurting and I had to leave the tent. I haven't bothered to download anything since, suggestions?

 

well if anyone wanst to check them out, id reccomend the moon and antartica which is a flawless album, and the lonesome crowded west which is also awsome but not as good as the moon and antartica
