I remember watching a silent movie when I was a kid and people sitting at their table had their food brought out them on train set, presumably O Gauge or G Gauge. I wonder if people would patronize a sit down food venue where their food was brought out on a train set. No need to pay waiting staff.
I'm sure there are people who would. I know several train fanatics that would just because of trains being involved. I'm not got at predicting what the general public would like, but if the train came by regularly with with condiments and refills (without asking how the meal is every 5 minutes) I'd think that the idea would go over well. I'd add in an option to pay with card at the table to eliminate the wait for the tab.
I went to Google to look for model train restaurants...and this is what they were showing on their search page....

Found it! Christmas Eve, 1947, Randolf Scott, George Raft. American Flyers bring the food, I have the first set seen with the gondola car, etc. Unfortunately in this clip the sound is out of sync. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=128VeXe0mdo"]Christmas Eve 1947 - George Raft - George Brent - Randolph Scott - YouTube Trains arrive about 4:30. Oops, not silent.....
I would go to a place like that as I think it would be a really neat thing to see and experience. The kids when they were younger would have flipped over something like that.
I know they had some where restaurants that were old rail road cars . p.s. I mean set up as a resturant on a lot , not rolling on its wheels .
