That's not good. I suppose now that the poor lady has been found, the rainbow folks are going to have to be very watchfull.

 

she could have just wandered off and died-she was sick.
While terrible, this is better than having a psycho killer
running around the rainbows...

We watch, we do our best, we get all kinds of folks at gathering, it is not top secret.

It still has not been proven it was an act of violence, PEACE!

This is very sad, and it sux, but at least now her family knows,,,,,,

 

I think its pointed out in spiritual doctrines, Evil's biggest challenge is To break into the enclaves of The peaceful and loving.

It's been my experience that an autopsy, even under the conditions of exposure, can rule out several acts of foul play. I hope for everyone involved that this is the case in this circumstance. Also, it can take several weeks to get the autopsy depending on how backed up the forensics labs are.

 

Wow, she was there all the time. Finally, some peace for her family.

Indeed, it is a beginning of healing for her family. And yes, this aint TV where one segment they find what ever, and after the commercial they have conclusion.
It's gonna take weeks.

"Marie's remains were found in an area near the road, but not where any Rainbow camps wre located. Cleanup crew did not go through this area, however two search teams had walked through. She was very hard to find."

 

Marie Hanson arrived at the annual Rainbow Gathering of the Tribes on July 2, 2011. Marie’s body was recently discovered after 3 months of searching on October, 9, 2011. Tim Garrity of the Skamania County Sheriff’s Office has found himself fielding many tips the past 3 months, with very little substance. The family is now looking for any information regarding Marie’s experience at the gathering.

Around the 5th of July, Marie was known to be camped near Loven’ Ovens and Safe Swinging. She traveled to the gathering with a dog named “Bandit” who was quite friendly and recognizable. While a cast of characters has been set in the story the most important information as to what actually happened to Marie may still be out there.

Reportedly last seen on July 8, 2011 but not officially reported missing to South Lake Tahoe, CA police until July 10, 2011, initial reports of Marie hitchhiking out of the area with a man named “Owl”, which have since been debunked, caused unneeded confusion early on into this now ongoing investigation. Although family visited the gathering site with an officer escort soon after the initial police report, Skamania acted nearly 2 weeks later providing a volunteer search and rescue effort without the use of scent or human remain detection canine assistance.

In mid August, soon after a sketch depicting a person of interest was released, searchers returned to the area with canines and came up with nothing. Six weeks later Marie’s daughter, and two of Marie’s friends returned to Skookum Meadows with members of the Rainbow Family who had been corresponding with the family since soon after initial reports of Marie’s disappearance were released. Their mission had been ongoing behind the scenes, and some had not left the site since the gathering was lawfully deemed over.

During a search on October, 2, 2011, with the assistance of volunteer canine units, a cadaver scent was detected by 2 of the 3 search dogs accessible in the area. Marie’s daughter and friends returned home only knowing they were then closer to finding answers than they had ever been before.

The following Sunday, in the later afternoon, many of the same volunteer searchers that had repeatedly contributed their efforts to the area found an answer to at least one in the Hanson families’ book of questions.

“Where is Marie?”

Nearly one week after finding Marie Hanson, Skamania County officially released that the dental records provided did match those of the “skeletal remains” reported the week prior as being found in the surrounding area of Skookum Meadows.

Yes, the dog belonged to the neighbors she was attending with and they took the dog back home when they went.

 

Though our dear Marie's remains were found earlier this month we are still looking for answers. Especially surrounding the dates of July 7-8.
