Missing: Marie Hanson age 53

sure she's not still on the playa?

 

it's not clear that a playa was ever involved. she was seen near a guy named owl during the gathering. this doesn't necessarily mean anything

the last (unconfirmed) siting of her was hitchhiking (it's not clear if she was hitchhiking back to the gathering or where exactly)

now, it would be great if she just ran off with some guy, or is off partying somewhere. the fact that she left without her money, phone, id, medication, and other possessions suggests that something was wrong

please take this seriously. if it's just a case of her running off, great. on the other hand, if she could be in danger or already dead, and in any case she has family members that are worried about her

Actually, since the sighting of Marie hitching out on July 6th, we have more than a dozen sightings of her back at the gathering site at the dinner circle the night of the 6th, and then 2 sightings of her the morning of July 7th (the last confirmed sighting). We are still actively looking for her, want to find her and make sure she is safe.
Marie is devoted to her family, her church and her community. We, her family, do not believe that she left the gathering willingly. She would not do that to her husband, children and grandchildren.
Thanks to all who donated we have enough for another week or so of private detective on her case.
Another way that folks can help us locate her is to share our website (www.mariehansonmissing.com) with all of your friends and ask them (especially if they were at the gathering) to check out our questions about sightings of Marie, and then share w/ their friends.

I googled owl rainbow family. It came up an individual named owl is on www.rainbowgatherings.org . I sent friend request to all owl's friends, nothing so far. If I could copy/paste it here I would.

 

Marie is from South Lake Tahoe CA.
And E7M8-that guy has been ruled out .

"Thanks to some amazing Rainbow Detectives we have tracked Marie's whereabouts through the night of July 7th. Marie slept near a white Saturn near the rear gate July 7th, not seen the morning of July 8th. Now we need some help, if you or someone you know was near the rear gate on July 8th, at any time, please contact us ASAP. Thank you friends!"

I don't know if the fs does this at every gathering, but I think that they often take down plate #'s.

they might be able to id the saturn, and possibly other vehicles that were near by

come to think of it, if they have plate #'s, you could in principle contact anybody whose plate # they have.

I don't know if they have that info, or would be willing to give it out if they did

 

They do more than that. They get the make & model & plate number and usually photograph the car. That is important for other issues such as bumper stickers.

 

This could be an important lead. ^bump^.

 

Do you have evidence of them doing that? Do they record everyone in national parks or just Rainbow gatherings? I dont doubt sneaky feds doing that just it seems like someone would notice them. That would be a big job recording every vehicle. I hope this lady is ok and found . Her family must be crazy with worry.

Marie and her neighbors had a very popular dog with them at the Gathering, and since we released Bandit’s picture on Facebook many have come forward to share stories of Bandit, Marie and other characters, including the man in the sketch below. (www.mariehansonmissing.com) These stories are important clues about the timeline and the man in the sketch (who is not a suspect, just spent time near Marie’s camp and was seen talking to Marie and her neighbors, and spending time with Bandit).

A kind woman stepped forward who had seen Marie the morning of July 7th, and we held tight to that date for many weeks. Finally, thanks to two new Rainbow Family friends we have learned that Marie was last seen around midnight July 7th.

During the day of July 7th, Marie was sick, ‘barely keeping food or water down’ according to a friend. That day, her neighbor and a friend moved their camp from inside the Gathering to a place near the 150/rear gate. The neighbor’s white Saturn was parked there and Marie slept alongside the car, in an indentation next to the road much of the afternoon. A kind Rainbow friend brought her some soup, but she was not able to eat. She was sleeping there at midnight, in her ‘bed’ according to her friend who was sleeping nearby. In the morning, when her friend awoke at dawn, she was not in her bed. Her purse, medicine, clothing and gear remained in camp.
