I mostly agree with what you said in your last post. We should get to know, trust and accept ourselves, and fear will begin to dissolve. You have a good message. In fact, you're a really wise and intelligent person, I can tell. Where you lost me was with the talk of spirits and holes being torn in a spirit body. I am not "essence" or "spirit". "Energy" relates somewhat to reality, but when summing up what a human being is you failed to mention the fact that we're this amazing bundle of skin, muscles, nerves, fluids. An immensely complex brain. We're signals zipping along neurons. We're beings so highly evolved that a huge chunk of our thinking is based on reason, informed decision and logic..."free will", I suppose. All of that can be proven and we know it to be real. Doesn't the word "essence" sound kind of weak and flimsy compared to that? Basically, you can kind of imagine essence. It's whimsical. As far as theories go, the idea that we're floating something-or-other from a mystical land a pretty weak one based on nothing but fancy, and while I am open-minded, I think a bit of reason doesn't go a miss when forming well-rounded and sensible opinions. What I want to ask, if you'd be so kind as to answer, is how you arrived at this conclusion that we are "spirit" and have a "spirit body" and that there are guides, etc? I'd like to discover what the reasoning is. Of course I understand if you don't fancy explaining. I respect your right to this opinion and don't wish to make fun. I'd just like to understand.
Mirrors fuckin creep me out. Like looking at old pictures in the mirror weird shit. I have never seen anything you guys are talking about. I think I would shit myself mabey.

Hi Fingermouse I do not mind at all. Thank you for asking. Bare with me as I feel I am answering more than just your question. To begin with, YES, we are amazing in these physical bodies. The reason we chose these bodies was so we could experience life with consequences. Imagine if you will that there is this fiber optic cable, {Named LOVE, made of energy from which all life is formed. Each creation chooses a path for the greater growth. When one has grown ...the all has grown. We in our birth and rebirth created the worlds we live in on both a collective and individual level of reality. Thus we knew we would need a common thread through out all our worlds, much like berries on a vine, in order to understand and comprehend the small and greater picture. That common thread is Essence (life) and Spirit. These came from Energy. Just as breath gives life, so does lack of breath, or energy creates no life. A person when their physical body dies, weighs less after the death, when their Essence and Spirit leave the mortal shell behind. This is how we can make contact beyond the grave, so to speak. Ever travel between worlds. Ever return to the beginning to see who you really are. Ever tap into past lives, or experiences you have had and see how they fit together. We are only as limited as we make our selves. Each living thing, and that includes us, is a layered consciousness much like layers on an onion. We have the aura, the energy body, the god consciousness body, the physical body, and so on. If we all actually used even just half of our brains we would see these layers as easily as we see the clothes we wear. For an example your aura, to me, looks like a sea of bumble bees, and different colored butterflies. This tells me you are your own contradictions at times when your mind refuses to be still. You are a lover, stubborn, delightful and funny, right beside opinionated, and ready for a good argument. As much as you do not hold a grudge..you also do not forget. You are wise and wonderful and do not suffer fools well. A few books that might interest you. Many Lives Many Masters by Brian L. Weiss M.D., Walk-ins Soul Exchange, Soul Search by Williston & Johnstone, Care of the Soul by Thomas Moore, and The Body Electric by Robert O. Becker, M.D. and Gary Selden. Ever had a dream that seemed more real than the life you are in. Ever wonder who decided what reality was. Why is it 2, or 10 people can live in the same house and all have different perceptions of the same experience. The more we know about our self the more our reality changes. We then must ask what is the illusion. Just as you want a sure and safe world the bigger question is....What is sure and what is safe. There is this story of a young boy deep in the heart of Africa. He was trained by his Grandfather who was the shaman and medicine man of their tribe. Part of that training was to learn how to shape shift. To do this one must know all sides of who and what they are so they can move between worlds without fear. Fear and lack of understanding wounds and limits us. The boy enjoyed many hours flying out side the flesh form and traveling in many different forms for awareness for understanding and the pure joy of the shared experience. One day christian missionary s came to their village. The young boy asked the missionary's if they could fly. He was delighted when they said yes. They told him they had flown into the near by village. Then...they took him to see their air plane. The boy was confused. Why he wondered can people speak the same words and have such different meanings, or beliefs. The boy knew sometimes our faith and beliefs must shatter if we are to grow beyond what we know. Each time there is an end a new beginning is waiting to live. Each time a new beginning lives an end is waiting to show us yet more than we dared to imagine. So to answer your question, How did I arrive at this understanding. I carried through into this life form the awareness that we are more than the flesh we pour our understanding into. Each one of us have this potential. What we do with this is ours. When you ask which came first the chicken, or the egg, the answer is they came as one. So yes we are amazing in the choices we make and the lives we live, and the forms we take. Inside of us is a deeper awareness just waiting to grow us beyond what we now know. Oh, I like that colored shirt you often wear. Looks good on you. The limits we have are the ones we accept.
That's weird. I used to look at reflections of reflections when I was bored, and I never saw anything. Maybe I'm just that good at blocking my inner pscyhe. Mirrors have sort of generally freaked me out late at night though, and I'd avert my eye when looking at them in my old house late at night. It was this big, ancient house that was made in the 19th century, so you can see why. My attic used to make me feel unnerved, but I never saw anything. I'd spend hours up there at times painting though. I could be totally wrong with no understanding of this at all, but this has been my approach lately.
If I saw an inner demon, I'd want to confront it and get it resolved. I understand why modern society has ignored these things. In some cultures, it consumes all their time in trying to avoid evil spirits. They might not deal with it all that well. I think its better to deal with it all intuitively. Its good to pay attention to the subtleties in your mind and try to harmonize them and balance it out in some way. Its sort of like learning to stop your hickups consciously, so it can't really be taught. I think you have to just get in tune with yourself.
Eew, but yes! With the right amount of focus, everything turns dark and my own eyes are scary as hell
