Minnesota governor denied federal aid funding for a rebuild after the riots.

He was one of many dnc public servants who ordered the police to stand down and allow the riots to take place.

That's actually not a bad policy.

& I believe in the rule of law. But the law also says you can protest; albeit peacefully, not looting and so forth.

But maybe he should get funding. We don't really know the history or the details. It could be that police force is known to be forceful and that governor knew that.

 

The law also says chief executives have the right to exercise enforcement discretion in a manner that best serves public safety. It's a judgement call that shouldn't be second guessed by the President.

 

Dictatorship, here we come!

 

Why? He deliberately ordered the police to stand down and allowed the riots to take place. He should clean up his own mess he made.

Yes and no. I would look at his intention and deliberate to a certain extent about the consequence. Maybe he thinks this marks a moment in history...

It's so far been a real call to America to make equality a priority. Perhaps it's a social commentary about police brutality.

Regardless, yes there was damage and no we can't have looting. I think maybe it generated some publicity about some desperately needed changes though.

Probably the same reason all the African American NFL,NBL players, movie and music stars didn't....same reason all the try hard hipster liberals that joined in the protest didnt, every member of the Democrat party, Nancy Pelosi has $140 million to spare, Bloomberg $50 billion

Video Of Police Officer Kneeling on Man's Neck in Allentown Sparks Protests

After a video emerged over the weekend of a police officer kneeling on a man’s neck in Allentown, Pennsylvania, protesters have come out onto the streets demanding accountability.

The 26 second video was posted to a local Black Lives Matter Twitter account on Saturday and was quickly shared widely.

For some viewers, it evoked the footage of the death of George Floyd, who died in May after being restrained by four police officers, one of whom knelt on his neck for 8 minutes and 46 seconds.

The Allentown police department had changed its rules earlier in July, in the wake of national protests against Floyd’s death, to disallow choke-holds and kneeling on someone’s neck as forms of restraint.

What it shows is the officer violated policy by putting his knee on the suspects neck.

The ensuing protests were a worldwide affront to militant and often tone-deaf policing strategies typically involving averse treatment of minorities; African-Americans in particular.

In my opinion, the couple in question didn't like the direction protests were going when it spilled over into their neighborhood. They took to arms and the world can see their reaction.



Maybe she thought it was a gun he was holding?

Either way, a prosecutor investigating the case is now being hushed/silenced by the governor of Missouri and President Trump.
