There’s the occasional good cop story in the news, like the female cop who gave CPR to a cardiac patient, or the cop who rescued a man from a burning building

But I admit for the most part we only hear about cases of bad cops, but few as chilling as those cops in Wilmington who set out each day to target black people.

A similar thing happens at Rainbow Gatherings. The camp A people will always come and destroy. Those who don't really have the same values of peace and love they just know that they can take advantage because the hippies don't want cops around. The beef now goes back a long way. We see how they act and they take our drugs lol.

No one is saying there should be no police just that the armed thing we call the police is not needed most of the time. Like how they are qualified to deal with a mental illness? They are not and there are MANY cases of people having a episode being killed

We are just in a bad midway point now

They do but isn't this kind of a participation trophy? They need to do their job and should not expect worship. That's half the problem is the cop's ego is too fragile and bloated. How many times do firemen get thanked? My uncle and grandpa both did that and I was planning to so it's a job I really admire. There is a friendly competion between them and cops and sure the women LOVE fireman and they buy the calendars but they don't get a fraction of the ass kissing of cops and they don't ask for it. Even though it's much more likely to die doing your job. The reward is knowing you saved a life or a precious family album.

My point is, and even Hotwater recognized it, is that one could easily build a prejudice toward all law enforcement, if they perceive these crooked police incidents in the media as the average day on the job.

There’s a common graffiti found in Seattle’s CHAZ that reads ACAB. Short for “All Cops Are Bad”

Unfortunately, there's merit to the idea that there's a problem. They have a mohawk and a fuckin' attitude if you know what I mean. It's just a circus in my opinion.

So in Minneapolis the city council voted 12-0 to dismantle The police department. In the last 30 days 113 people have been shot. No shootings by cops. Powderhorn park Has been taken over and there has been over 1600 gun shots reported in the last month They do not Get that much gun fire in 6 months.
Seems things are going really well there.
Car jackings, robberies, armed robbery, lots of illegal drugs being sold and there is no cops.

    Powderhorn Park Crime Rates
198.4% Violent crime above the national average
143.2% Property crime above the national

Are the police obligated to follow a club owner's orders?
Is the only possible explanation for this incident racism?

Yes if the police officer is working a security detail at the club

I'm not suggesting there was any racism involved only police brutality.

by chance alone she just happened to be black, and the officer was white.

Wait a minute I am kind of new to all this stuff but what about that part "qualified immunity" that I hardly even know what that means so I Googled it Qualified immunity - Wikipedia

Telling me that night club owners get to hire real police as private bouncers and are not liable when they hurt people?

Like Derek the knee on the neck guy in Minneapolis worked at a nightclub.

Something just seems wrong with that.

Lots of cops work at night clubs, do concerts, are paid to, to help crowd control Or places that have a lot of problems. Clubs that have a lot of crimes happen, a cop can be assigned to that club on certain nights as well. In my city there are mini police stations with two officers inside schools that have a lot of violence, to protect teachers, stafff and other students.

another thing, Pinney, who worked at the night club That the cop worked at, did an interview with cbs, stating that the cop and Floyd knew each other and that the two had had several altracations with one another, they hated each other. He has since retracted the statement and said Floyd and the cop did not know eachother. Said he had mistaken Floyd for someone else. But maintains Floyd was a good friend of his.

If you don’t think this is a political play, here is the proof. In Canada the CBC, which is funded and controlled by the liberal party is pushing for defunding of the police on the news and stated Canada wants this, because of the Floyd thing. Looking to divide this country racially, and personally i hate to see this kind of shit happen, but happening it is. Thanks blm! - sarcasm

the link you used cherry picked, For example

In the Tennessee case, a man named Alexander Baxter arrested during a 2014 home break-in in Nashville challenged a lower court’s ruling granting immunity to two officers who used a police dog on him. He accused the officers of excessive force. It was a waste of tax payers money for it to be even brought to court. It starts at a lower level. Qualified immunity happens there. Many have been brought to a higher court where the qualified immunity is upheld.

you see this law internationally. Diplomats world wide receive diplomatic immunity, which I don’t agree with.

intoxicated diplomat driving - Saudi Arabian diplomat with full diplomatic immunity. The police drove him to the embassy, towed his car and made a phone call to the Department of Foreign Affairs.
in the fact that it has as many as 6,000 residents who are effectively above the law In Ottawa Canada alone, and more throughout the country.

In just the last five years, diplomats have shoplifted, skipped rent, allegedly brandished knives in street fights and led high-speed chases that ended with them plowing into police cars.

Last year, the nanny of Philippine diplomatic couple Bueneflor Cruz, 44, and Robert Cruz, 45, approached an Ottawa lawyer saying that the Cruzes had taken her to Canada, stripped her of identifying documentation and forced her to work 14-hour days.

intoxicated Russian diplomat ploughed his car onto an Ottawa sidewalk, killing lawyer Catherine MacLean.

nyc alone has over 18 million owed due to diplomatic immunity parking tickets alone, often blocking traffic and doing as they please with complete disregard for the citizens, human trafficking, which I am so against is common as well and many other crimes.

I could go on about it.

Sorry, got a little off track there,

anyhow, this immunity applies in your country to, to prevent frivolous lawsuits. Those cases cited in the article were from 50 years ago Or more. In the USA there were 7 such cases were that immunity was cited for the defendant. 6 of them, this immunity was denied to them. One being the Somali cop who shot the Australian in the head.

I also think it is a conflict of interest for police officers to work as security guards, and obviously leads to abuses of power.

Because the stats and culture favor there being more bad than good. Even in the classic phrase of a few bad apples don't spoil the barrel they actuly do. You must remove them or the whole barrel is tainted.

In police training there is a question asked to new officers. "If you see your partner stealing from a crime scene (drugs or money) what do you do?"

The incorrect answer is to report your partner. The correct one is to tell them it was wrong to do that and NEXT time you will report it to your boss. Police also refuse you for having too high of an IQ and any cop who actuly does report can count on not getting any backup or promotions

Until these things are addressed we must assume all police are bad. To be where they are they must agree with a certain culture and their burden is to prove otherwise. I've dealt with good cops I know they exist but most are not.

So we can say the American police culture encourages racists and idiots to join. All these right wing militia types are angry about race relations. How dare things like affirmative action exist when they are poor white people. They will be drawn to a job like a cop where they feel they "make a difference". They are not yelling at the black guy on Muarry with 3 kids they are actuly doing something about it and it's a very empowering feeling. As a normal person no matter how much they hate them they can't shoot them in the back as they run away. As a cop you can do that on film and other racists will say it is part of your dangerous job.

Fascists and racists are really big on social order and violent punishment for those who threaten the kids. The 14 words are what they are for a reason.

FBI warned of white supremacists in law enforcement 10 years ago. Has anything changed?
