I think my country they are a little worried that these protests are a little more covid lockdown related than anyone wants to admit, so we totally seem to be getting it presented through a conservative lens

That and we had a bunch of journos that have already been in the thick of it, getting arrested or injuried, and being australian reporters, of course they are all white and everyone back home empathizing with them so it also looks a bit lopsided that way

 

I won't address the various factions although I have a surface knowledge of some of them but a woman I used to go to school with is a news reporter in New York and she was walking around the town uploading stories to her IG tonight and the few that she had of looting were mostly black people and some black dude slapped the phone out of her hand while she was videoing it.

 

how about a white woman needing help and was shot in the head through the window of a police car? Do you really want to play the race card. Where were there riots? Where was the marching? Was there upset in MN, yes, just so happened the cop was Somali. BLM hopped on that bandwagon saying the Somali cop was being unjustly treated. Brilliant. Nope the white people didn’t burn down their own neighbourhood and didn’t march into Somali neighbourhood either and burn it down. The victim is at fault and the cop is the victim says BLM. Shot from a foot away. Or talk to Orison about his brother, There have been 42 deaths of white people as of March this year at the hands of police. We went through this at the beginning of this thread by the way. How about instead of scanning through at the last hour, instead of giving little quips you read. I believe someone else posted re exactly what you are asking for. You aren’t clever and go back and read from the start, and then get back to me. 2017 - 457 white people shot by police. More than double the number of black people. 2018 - 399 White people ... way more than double that of black people.

You will find a lot of lies in here Drift. That is a huge problem with this division created on political sides. There has been a lot of.... much from the left regarding racism, Hyped up... etc... you will, if you stick to this area read stuff that is echo chamber stuff... rumours, false info, the way papers slight things in the USA, to place blame on people or websites that are false. I scrutinize papers and news sources like crazy, get facts only, least biased I try to find. I stArted in this thread saying I read he was on something, regarding the call that was made to 911, the caller said that, I said this could be a factor. Now it has come full circle. If you disagree with the white supremacist thing, you belong on the right voting side in the USA anD are a racist too. If you are black you are suppose to vote left, they say in the USA, because right wing voters are white supremacist. If you vote right and are black you aren’t black. It is insane and divisive, All for votes, and this is the cost of it.

unfocused makes statements sometimes that are bigoted. Australians talk stupid and are uneducated for example. It is an anti western world thing happening. Vlad is one of the biggest individuals around here who spread this kind of thing, division and he is in the uk. A big Lenin and Russian fan, also left. He wants riots and destruction in the USA. He wants it in the UK as well.

Our prime minister is using this as well by the way. It is sad. So I lean away from it in Canada, the racial division the left is creating, standing in the middle saying wtf, where do I go?

Thing is that culturally there does seem to be a high level of racial ‘harassment’ between law enforcement and ethnic groups

How is that meant to deescalate the situation?

If this is correct then its likely to make a bad situation worse.

Who is been recruited into such vigilante groups?

I mean if - as I fear - these are people of a right wing disposition then this is just adding an even more dangerous division.

The facts are what they are. What is done with them is something else. If anybody tries to use them to get the officers off the hook or deny their culpability, that would be a source of further division in this country, because it would be perceived as another whitewash. Relevant facts: A police officer knelt on Floyd's neck for nearly nine minutes, after which Floyd lost consciousness and died. I'd find it hard to believe the kneeling wasn't the proximate cause of the death, whether by stress or asphyxiation, and that if the officers had left him alone he would have died anyway. What a coincidence! More importantly, I think the African-American community would find it hard to believe, as well.

 

White trash who don’t have the brains they were born with (my guess) or a local group of concerned citizens who were called upon by the Pittsburgh Police Department
to do their civic duty.

By volunteering their time to patrol the neighborhood with baseball bats (and likely hidden guns and knives) they can help the department guard against any potential spillover of violence and looting in their community..

Are you saying that you think it a good idea for government authority to be able to give vigilante powers to certain political groupings?

And with an issue that involves a racial dimention what message does it give for government authority to give vigilante powers to a group that is dominated by one racial grouping?
