    what country you from?
i read somewhere the powdered version is unlikely to get through customs, but if you get it as it is in pieces it shouldnt be a problem, thats here in the UK though so i dont know about where your from

It's probably about time that we learn to become proficient at extracting from other plant material besides MHRB, that way when it is no longer available we won't be screwed.

Acacia confusa root bark powder can purchased on the internet quite easily, and I believe that Acacia Confusa root bark is the new MHRB. Pictures of the root bark powder look almost identical to MHRB powder. The extraction process can be done in a similar manner, though it is more important that you do a proper defat step to remove fats and oils before basification. I would recommend an additional dry defat of the powder using an aromatic hyrocarbon (xylene/toluene etc) before even starting. Prices are similar to MHRB powder but apparently the yield is only about 50% that of MHRB. I haven't personally done an extraction utilizing it yet, but next time I get in the kitchen, ACRB will be what I use.

New source. Go to amazon, search "MHRB", look for the very simple listing.
