And yet they chose to march on the day that members of their faith carried out the deadliest terrorist attack on American soil. They may have their own reasons, but their judgement in deciding on the 11th was stupid and, in many eyes, an unnecessary provocation.

BTW, do you have a source for statistics of crimes against Muslims in the United States? Specifically statistics of crimes carried out against them because of their faith, and not crimes where the victim happened to be a muslim?

FACTS are that the 9/11 attack WAS carried out by individuals declaring themselves to be Muslim AND that a large incentive for the attack was motivated by their religious convictions.
That much can not be denied.
Who/what was involved behind the scenes, well...... that's another thread.

They did originally call it a "Million Muslim March" and only changed it in response to public outcry.
I'm sorry, but to Americans that is an emotional slap in the face.
