Do you have another view of that piece man? I am intrigued by it. Trying to figure out if a buddy of mine has something like that or it is different altogether.

 

it's put together funny in that pic, but that's the only way it stands up. it's three separate pieces (slider/bowl, ashcatcher, and j-hook)

I am getting a bong for my birthday so I will be sure to share a picture of a first hit.

We went shopping yesterday but didn't find anything that I loved. Going to several more places today and then hopefully I will find something. If not...road trip!

Any thoughts on the zongs? Not really the brand but the shape? I have smoked out of one so far and LOVED it but all of these videos are making me think about the uprights with percs...

 

I suggest doing some online shopping.. most headshops will gouge you with crazy marked up pricing

 

zongs are cool, but not sure i'd want to own one. hard to clean i image. i like a nice straight tube, and i think i'd like mine better if it didn't have a perc. it's only a dome (trees are better i think). it creates a bit of drag that i only notice when i hit my brothers straight tube with no perc. i've always liked beaker bottoms, but i think i would go with straight

maybe with an ashcatcher. diffused downstems are nice. that'd be plenty of filtration without a percolator

 

straight, simple, and elegant... that's how i like my tubes.. nothing fancy.. minimal branding..

im finding that my beaker bottom pretty much never splashes water twords my mouth while i do get that with straight tubes.. just something i've been noticing lately since ive had to switch to my old non-GonG beaker bottom from the old MGW tube

 

I dunnoooo.... there was a guy doing "sour glass" or something a while back, that was cool.... I think it became the brand and went seriously downhill, and they where grommet tubes anyways, if I remember right.

I hit one once or twice, dissapointed me.

I suggest instead of funny shapes, you look for really high quality strait tubes. Tubes that fill and clear really fast and smoothly are nice, and avoid the odd harshening effect of slowly diluting the smoke with fresh air as it clears. Sometimes (counter-intuitively) thinner is not always better however.... maybe ask around on glass-head forums or watch milk videos.

Don't skimp.... it's a bigger quality of life issue than you'd imagine in passing. Think how much you'll hit it, how much your lugns will depend on it, how much your high will depend on it, how much your wallet will depend on it, how many happy hours you'll spend with it... chances are this bong will affect hundreds or thousands of hours of your life, I think this is a good argument for a real investment.

 

GC has this colob bong.. Called the ""bubblicious" or something like that.. beaker bottom.. $170.. its fucking TITS! If they have any come christmas.. i'm scooping one up.. they always have crazy deals come the holidays
