And I would believe that if the posts didnt come with a snotty tone Aside from that though, that teen girls are supposed to be submissive princesses thing pisses me off, cos in the end they are better off having a bit of spunk to them even if most guys are going to be threatened by that. The dad, I always hated that acky breaky heart song, and he's got a stupid hairstyle, but I give his a pos rep for not seemingly being a control freak in regards to her personal life at least
And that too I LOL'ed at the Frosted Flakes in the video In terms of hippiedom meaning non conformist one can be shallow, vain and materialistic as all hell and still end up being an ambassador for Unicef or PETA and thus become more peace love and mung beans that way Or one can be raised as a conservative suit with a questionable attitude towards women and still end up a hippies hero cos of a few secret fascist documents leaked on to the web
salvia pretty much just makes me paranoid and feel like I'm leaning to the left, but you do go into your own head and she would have been a lot more fucked up looking
I do agree with that. I cant help but feel bad for teen stars for having to live out their coming of age years under a microscope. Thats the main reason I don't think anyone really envies miley cyrus; who the hell would want that kind of lifestyle? I would want to shoot myself if I couldn't take a hit off a bong without being judged by all the soccer moms of the world. lol true.
The above pic was taken in 2006 when Miley Cyrus, introduced Bubby Joe to Methamphetamine . aka Diet pills.. There Bubby to the Right of Miley 2010 music award.. See.. she must not be taking them. Shes getting kinda chunky..
Yah, even if it was Salvia, she wouldn't have gotten high off of it. It was just a little puff. You have to hold it in much longer to get effects. i think she's just doing it for attention. I mean, I didn't even see any smoke. I do wish she did actually get an active dose, because it may have changed her perspective for the better. However, bringing Salvia back to public attention was really the last thing I wanted, especially when spice was just made illegal and the fact she wasn't even tripping off of it. I have a theory on how all this works now. I think Disney celebrities, because they've been conditioned to believe their self worth rests on public attention from a young age, do these stunts to prove to their selves and other people (like peers) that they aren't the fake, squeaky clean, Disney image their contract forces them to be. When the media makes a big deal about anything sexual or drug related, they do more more extreme things relevant to those social and media taboos to distance their selves from their public identity that they've been confined to for so long. The media makes a big deal about this, like celebrity gossip columns and TMZ, because their ratings go up when a young celebrity crashes and burns. They economically benefit from the demise of young stars. The mainstream media carries the celebrity stories, because its easier to sell shit to the public when they're not depressed about the war or the economy. As far as advertisers and media conglomerates, I;m sure they plot all the finer details about this in board meetings. As for why the public is so receptive to the plight of celebrities, we live in a culture in which its vastly believed that your sense of self worth is determined by how rich and how famous you are. All the pathetic viewers who get a kick out of one of the Olsen twins being on junk, Lohan getting a DUI, or Britney having a nervous breakdown, have a love-hate relationship with the celebrity. They might like their music or acting, but secretly they want to be them. However, since they're stuck in a normal life, and since they'll never be Britney or Miley or Brad Or Jennifer or whoever, they want to see the person with the life they've been programmed through the media to believe is ideal, slowly crash and burn. [ame]https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fpohRComHtM I mean, just look at these news anchors. They might be saying that they're concerned and that they hope that her life doesn't spiral out of control, but by the big grins on their faces, I can tell that's exactly what they want. Basically, we live in a sick, depraved culture.
Salvia will now be made illegal righ quick. Miley was smoking weed anyway...Lied in order to cover her ass, and now salvia will, in short order, no longer be readily available. And it's annoying to me, young kids smoking salvia in order to "get high"--it is no party drug, the effects aren't even very "enjoyable".
I never liked her. I still don't. I have always thought she was a deeply misguided girl. Reminds me a lot of Britney spears.
:iagree: Though I don`t buy the `you just wish you were them` theory. I think that the majority of the people in our society are sadistic (at least on some level) and just enjoy watching peoples`lives fall apart. Especialy due to the fact that they `know` the person in question without actually having any emotional attachment to them, so they don`t feel guilty about watching their life fall apart. There`s a huge detachment that we feel from celebrities.. It`s almost as if they don`t really exist outside of the tv screen, we get so accustomed to watching them lead fake lives that we don`t see their real lives as anything different. People who actually know Miley (whether theyre her friends, or not) are viewing this whole thing very different than the rest of us because they see her as a person, and not a characture. can`t argue with that.. EDIT: and bullshit on the salvia thing.. no fucking chance
Wait.. huh.. youre all slamming this poor little **** cause shes on Disney and Nickelodeon.. Pick on someone your own size... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=647NxThCfy8&feature=related"]YouTube - Jack Black on LSD im pretty sure, hes touching your children more than Miley .. especial if your children are boys.. you cant be talking shit, when the networks buy these people, as much as they have bought you..
Yah, because they play fictitious characters, people on the outside just kind of view it all abstract. You're right though It isn't just jealousy from fans. Some of the fans really cling to their role models during media attacks, like the "Leave Britney Alone" guy. Its just that a lot of people like seeing other people suffer in general, whether or not its happening to someone their fans of. Someone said it right. Only 4-13 year olds are fans of hers. I mean, don't get me wrong, what I said might be true for some people that get off on seeing celebrities plummet, but it doesn't explain it all. Just look at the popularity of a lot of the youtube videos I see of non-famous, non-wealthy people embarrassing their selves. I think the weath and fame of the person meeting their decline makes it more widely palatable then it otherwise would be though. Its partly the fact they get more media exposure than anyone else to begin with but also because cruel people, rich or poor, like to see people plummet as far as possible. You're right about the salvia thing too. Expecting her to get anything more than a bad and/or confusing trip is too much. She's too self-image obsessed and egotistical.
The fact that you think anyone really thought britney should be left alone invalidates any opinion you might have had. He was and is a comedy star, he made more money than you ever will because of that video.
