And it looks like we'll get it. Trump has called Nanci Pelosi to congratulate her. Red State Oklahoma is even contributing a bright young woman, Kendra Horn, to the U.S. House in an upset election in Congressional District #5.

Don’t underestimate what Happened tonight because it’s huge.

Democrats will sweep into Washington in January with significant new power to shape the president’s agenda and to mount investigations that could change the nature of the Trump presidency. (i.e, only the house can initiate impeachment proceedings)

Trump has a bunker mentality, sensing attack from all sides – Democrats, Fake News, TV talking heads, distant caravans, hidden conspirators, evil Iranians, past sexual assault victims, former attorneys like Michael Cohen, Russian prostitutes, the media, and pee pee tapes – For the first time he's about to face an opponent with actual teeth.

You know as well as I it’s only about one thing – a series of investigations over the next two years into everything Trump

Canary-Top will think he has a microscope shoved up his ass - Nancy Pelosi said as much

It's tragic. But coming within 3 points does mean some good trends in Texas. In 2012 he won by 16.

We stopped the GOP super-majority in Texas house by picking up 12 house seats, and pushed 2 new US House members here.

Texas will be a swing state soon. 2024?

    In Texas?

I don't see any more bumper stickers. But he still fills up crowds with those rallies. I think the true believers are still overboard.

    I'm a little disappointed that California's Prop 3 didn't pass.

But I learned something. The league of women voters opposed this prop, to my surprise. They said this,
I agree that it's important to pay attention to how things are paid for. That's a little bit tricky because a prop usually doesn't come out and say "this will be passed on to the taxpayer". I guess I learned that not everything should be paid for by taxes or social programming, and that our government will sometimes charge too much if we're not careful. I want to see the environment win though. :worried:

Pelosi is the first woman to ever serve as the Speaker of the House.
Under her leadership the "111th Congress was heralded as “one of the most productive Congresses in history” by Congressional scholar Norman Ornstein."
During her tenure we got the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009,
    the Affordable Care Act,
the Student Aid and Fiscal Responsibility Act,
the Lilly Ledbetter Fair Pay Act,
child nutrition and food safety legislation,
    2007 vehicle fuel efficiency standards,
American Clean Energy and Security Act,
the “Pelosi amendment” on environmental issues,
    ethics reform,
an increase in the minimum wage,
    college aid expansion,
    a new GI bill,
    a strengthening of Medicare,
the permanent authorization of the World Trade Center Health Program,
a five-year extension of wind and solar renewable energy tax credits,
a $3.2 billion increase in opioid epidemic funding,
a $3 billion increase for NIH medical research,
and the largest single year funding increase for Child Care Development Block Grants.

And that's what I found in a just a couple minutes.

    Definitely not a fruit loop.
I believe you're thinking of Trump.

Speaking as a democrat, it's time for a new Speaker. Pelosi can do more harm than good.

I think trump will win a second term, unfortunately.

Too early to say. Who knows what skeletons might come out of the closet with the Mueller probe and a bunch of Democrats who can now look into his tax returns. Maybe it's true that his base would stand by him if he murdered somebody of 5th Avenue, but suburban women seem to have turned against his party in the mid-terms and millenials don't seem to be wild about Trump either. And of course the economy is always a wild card.

I think you'd like our new Governor. He's no Kamala Harris, but, c'mon, who is?

But he's a pretty handsome fella, and he's got swagger.
