Im in pretty good health and feel like my penis is working well. I masturbate nearly every day usually 2x, occasionally up to 4-5x a day. I have never worried that I was overdoing it, and in my 40s I was married and this didnt seem to hurt my sex performance (obviously I whacked off less when married) nor when I was dating in 20s/30s.

Now Im entering dating world after being out of that for about 5 years. I worry about performance I dont get as hard as I used to but it still feels as good as ever. Someone said I shouldnt whack off as much w/o specifying a reason. I guess it has to do with diminished sensitivity which I can sort of understand, I need to use a pretty firm grip and stroke it rapidly and that might be more difficult with a partner.

I tried Viagra about 5 years ago just to see if it would boost my masturbations as at that time I had a lot on my mind and was only jerking it once a day or so. I found it got me stiffer and got erect sooner but after a few weeks I realized I could masturbate quite often if I put my mind to it and so I dropped the V but started masturbating more.

SO what do you guys think? thank you.

I masturbate 5 to 7 times a week. Often I go flaccid but regain erectness as I play with my cock so I wouldn't be concerned about that. It comes with age. When I hook up with a partner for sex once or twice a month, I use Viagra. Taking a dose an hour before we meet up keeps my cock erect from start to finish. Cock sensitivity can be reduced if a lot of masturbation is done without lubrication. Stating you use a firm grip and stroke rapidly tells me your main goal is ejaculation and not the ride getting there. I would change that thought pattern, use plenty of lube, and maybe get a toy vagina such as a fleshlight. Practice with a toy pussy to remember what a real pussy feels like.

Anxiety or worry about performance can be an issue if you let it. If you begin to worry that you won't perform, guess what, you won't be able to perform. Also, if you are not maintaining a full erection during masturbation, even after following my suggestions of lube and a toy pussy, get another prescription for Viagra or a similar ED drug. Take it easy and concentrate on her pleasure when you meet up with that new girlfriend. Let the encounter and impending sex come to you. Don't try to push it and don't set your goal as ejaculation. I always set my goal as getting that wonderful feeling of sliding my cock into that warm and inviting vagina. Ejaculation and the orgasm that comes with it should be the reward for achieving the goal of carnal knowledge of a beautiful and willing woman.

I think if you with a woman, you will be far more stimulated than you are with your hand. It will be a new and exciting experience.
