plus over all it was "bad judgment".. he is a world class athlete and he should keep his personal festivities under wraps..

personally i would call it bad judgment on my part if i was in some high rank in the world and was caught doing something that is not legal... even though i may not agree with the legalities of it.. there's a difference between being a marijuana smoker and being a professional

Well, my heroes aren't athletes, but I'd have a lot more respect for some of these guys like Phelps or whazzizname, StAnthony or SanAntonio, the one that caught the winning pass in the Pittsburgh/StLouis game (I don't follow sports)...would come out as a marijuana activist, and say something like "Yeah, I smoke pot, and it does not interfere with my ability to be a professional athlete. Does this mean the Government is lying to you? I don't know, I'm just a dumb jock, don't listen to me. Make your own decision."

Folks pretty much are aware of the fact that pot smoking does not interfere with one's ability to write, or act, or make music...Or do science. Didn't Carl Sagan have letters of his published after his death that spoke of his pot smoking?
