i live right on the border in Texas. me n my homies go to the clubs right over the bridge in Nuevo Progreso, nothing like the big clubs, but we get crunk. Frida's in Reynosa tambien se pone loco n its bigger. Only thing to advise is the cartel war on the northern border. As for farther in Mexico, I havent gotten past Chino N.L. but for sure its a beautiful country. Hope you choose to visit a wonderful land, peace
Baja norte and sur are both beautiful and awesome too! See some whales, and dolphins, and cave paintings and everything! peace Delfynasa
i have been living in the Yucatan for 4 years now. this is the most peaceful place i have ever lived. keep in mind i left Orlando the year the city made #8 on the FBI most dangerous city list. i do not know about the rest of mexico , but the Yucatan is as close to Paradise as you can get.
I lived in Tenayuca, near the pyramid. for 2 months . Man, you can stuff 5 NYC's and two LA's in Mexico City .
This is an old thread, but I'll bite... Baja Sur is excellent for fishing, diving, sailing, surfing, swimming with whales, snorkeling, etc. And that's just water sports. On land there's lots of places to explore. Yes petroglyphs, yes nature reserves, yes incredible world class beaches. World class hotels and restaurants in Cabo. Oh yeah, the SEAFOOD IS OUTRAGEOUS! World famous races like Baja 1000 attract thousands of dune buggies and larger vehicles in grueling races. The best time is December to April before it gets hot. The people here are wonderful, friendly and community minded people. Todos Santos is a spiritual, healing town with a great surfing beach. Baja Sur is also the safest place in Mexico. Safer than many places in the US.
Those petroglyphs, were created by the ancestors of the Seri people, they were a Uto Aztecan/ Shoshonian ethnic people, many of them still live there .
