Metallica, Slayer, Pantera or Megadeth?

Well, it's been a long time since i've read the book, and my memory is getting like a sieve with the mesh removed, but i'm pretty sure the whole varg, varg/euronymous story is backed up by statements from the Count himself, and a few others there at the time. Euronymous was unavailable for questioning for so i'd say if it was going to be biased, it would be in Varg's favour. And you're right, Varg isn't the most reliable character when it comes to talking about himself. He seems to have changed his story a few times over the years. I'm not sure who to believe, Count Grishnakhe or Varg Vikernes, if you get me.

 

Yeah, his mindset has changed a lot and that's probably why he's not content with 'the Jewish media' () using his old comments and interviews and such. He finds the satanic image of black metal (which he's used himself too, in the very beginning) immature and so doesn't want to be connected to stuff like that, I imagine. Everyone has periods in his or her life that he'd rather not be reminded of or connected to later...

Fucking Megadeth without a doubt. What is up with this forum. I would say Slayer comes in second for just about all of their work prior to God Hates Us All. Metallica next mostly for earlier albums especially Kill 'Em All (Featuring guitar compositions of Dave Mustaine).

Now, I do like Pantera... I won't say they don't have talent and please don't think that is what I am trying to say but they just weren't as influential as everyone would lead you to believe. A newer age of music for a differen't crowd, a differen't sound. I don't really think they should be included in this poll. I mean in all honesty please tell me you noticed how much Pantera's popularity sky rocketed immediately after Dimebag's death. I see people walking around in Pantera shirts all the time but I will tell you it wasen't the same prior his death. All of a sudden it really seems to be the "cool" thing to love Pantera and everyone, especially the new rock crowd, want in on the action. Once again let me say I love Pantera so please don't get me wrong. I just think there is something wrong with a fanbase as large as theirs where the majority can only name one song.

 

megadeth has some good songs. i would have them tie with metallica in last place. pantera is over rated.

you assume too much. just 'cuz i left slayer out of the mix doesn’t mean i voted for them. if it will help calm your temper.....i agree with the rift joke ha-ha good one. (haven't heard that before) and that Is a reason why they didn't receive my vote. pantera is over rated. i say this from a fan's prospective, but there 'played out'

Looking at my previous post really seems to tick you off, I suggest that you are the one who needs to calm down.

I love how people like to overuse certain words, as if they just learned their meanings, such as "opinion" or "assumption".

You're assuming that I'm serious when I claim that my opinions are greater than anyone elses, you should be careful about that, assumptions are a dangerous thing.
