This is a step too far against our civil liberties in my view. Bullshit to the argument that if you haven't got anything to hide you've nothing to worry about. The precedent is set, and the more powers the State acquires, the harder it is for them to be rolled back.

 

Surely that announcement was made in the light of the recent London attack earlier today. Firstly... There is no facial recognition technology outside of youtube television that actually works. Secondly... Who here among us here today can put their hand over their heart and swear that such an announcement has never made by the metropolitan police before?

 

Facial recognition technology has been used against Hong Kong protesters.

It isnt an exact science yet but it will only improve and Hong Kong is a pretty good example of how dangerous it can be

 

That's it then. There'll be no stopping it if is working.
