Since cats have staff, this cat is clearly saying ..... "don't just stand there taking pictures, open the door" !!!
Yeah but what if it didnt come back or what if other cats or dogs attacked? I have responsibilty for the home if it get lost.
Cats like their creature comforts and their food. So, providing it is well fed and comfortable in your home and not harassed by other pets, even if you do let it out, it will return to you. However, if it has been a 'house' cat since you first had it, it will need to acclimatise and know where it is in relation to its immediate neighbourhood, so let it out in small exploratory adventures until it is happy to wander futher afield. and return.
I always acclimated new cats by first getting them used to the house interior first. Where the food and water is located, where they wanted to sleep, the poop box etc. Then I would leave the door open so that they could venture out ,but could see that the door was open and they could get back in. In steps is the best way, I think. Eventually they won't worry about the door being closed and will sit there waiting for you to open it. Or meow at you.
RIP Bob I see Bob from "a street cat named Bob" has died aged 14 Street cat that inspired book series dies at 14
That is very sad. Bob of course reminds me of Grumpy Cat but it is in fact much more serious than that.
love the cat, but what is the normal body temperature for a cat, would that thermometer read it, and would the security guy know what it should be if it did?
