Well - I've never actually hit anyone in my life.Yet I'm quite an agressive person in that I have alot of anger to burn off - I usually do this by cycling up mountains or archery or even playing the guitar - a bob dylan song can be quite exhillerating as far as excorsizing anger goes.I think if I didn't have these outlets I probably would go insane with all the unused adrenalyn/testosterone whatever it is that drives us,gradually turning in on itself. If we indeed evolved from this planet - well - the planet itself derived from some huge violent reaction - if one could describe for example a volcano errupting as a form of 'violent' energy.OK - well I'm weird - I have this theory that there is no such thing as an inanimate object - I kind of think of everything as 'live' and in particular states of emotional/physical being - in that every particle has the potential of becoming something else - electrical/static energy (for example which is the cause of 'stress' upon the brain - we eat stuff and turn it into positive/negative energy). So in theory if we are born of the earth/universe - well the whole cosmos revolves around these colossal battles between various forces as a result of balance and imbalance. Therefore one could conclude that 'peace' is a temporary state of balance and that it is only natural that war or imbalance should - eventually break out at some point, also temporarily. As for men being responsible - no - women fuel men's aggression as much as men fuel womens desire to look sexually attractive - its a perpetual motion. There are exceptions but generally speaking. I dunno - thats just what I thought up - but I could be speaking a whole lot of boulderdash.
guess what in some pacific islands the're men who adopt femaleness, i dont dont know what they 're called i just saw it in a magazine. but in the animal world maleness is sometimes a danger so why squabble about it anyway. we all are agents of good and bad but its much more attractive to do bad. All we need is love and they'll be no crap about whose violent and whose not. peace and love xxx
It may just be my personal choice of friends but my female friends tend to be more likely to pick a fight then my guy friends. Also by some twist they tend to support war more often too. I think it's just random chance though.
it's their form of cooking if men truely are more aggressive, it might be because of the leading role they always have had. this was necessary because in the past muscle and fight physical danger was more important than social behaviour. they somethimes had to be aggressive to protect themselves and played that role for a long time. now it's time to step of that and let women take part of politics and management and than we'll see what they're worth it
actualy as any experiened man or woman will tell you, men do far better in a group than woman. I have been in groups of just men on job sites most of my life, constuction, logging, things like that and while there is generaly one person considered the "leader" all will general defere to the most compatent in the givin situation. woman however seem to bump heads regularly like salmon vieing for the best spot to jump the falls I have also lived in houses with only men and only woman at various times in my life, and in a house of all men if there are two who argue even semi regularly one or both will be 86ed in no time. woman though, you guys can livetogether for months with almost constant bickering and seem to have no problem with it, could be just my experience however. and as far as war goes womans track record is not that peachy, look at catherine the great, most of englands queens, cleopatra, etc overall though i would say that men and woman are not as different from men as it would appear on the surface, general limited to intrest and emotional responses both of which are flexable within each individual i think alot of the differences probaly have more to do with culture than gender
I like your approach to the subject.Men and women have things that make us attracted to each other physically (for some) - but as you point out - as individuals we struggle just as hard whichever sex - to succeed.
i disagree, which it seems is why i post most of the time , i believe that throughout the majority of modern humans existence men and woman shared the roles of leadership, in fact it was a huge obstical for the proliferation of the christen religon. so many of the older cultures had prominent female dieties, which is why there book was altered to raise up "the modonna" to make it more acceptable to the ancient cultures. after all whih seems more suited to the role of religous leader, men or woman, think about it now and answer honestly. and we're talking about cultures that came up through extreme adversity, where there is little room for pety biases, and the only way to survive is to take full advantage off all assests. even in these last 2000 years i doubt there were many men who succeeded without the advice and saport of a good woman, regardless of egotistical propoganda
Steffan, I see no basis for your belief in an egalitarian human past. Almost every record we have is of a non-egalitarian system. There is simply no way to know the way human societies were structured before we started keeping records. So you're making up a human past that matches your belief in human nature, not drawing your beliefs about human nature from any facts concerning human past. Don't worry, everybody does it.
war:rape:violence=power power=power is a tool to percieve beautifull woman Eva=was the first one who eated from the three of knowledge So here you go, we have fully the right to blame the woman we=men are just victims Love, Light, Peace, Truth, Wisdom for ya all
Although the VAST MAJORITY of violence:rape:war are male-inacted. I refuse to believe the MEN = all that. I don't. I abhor violence of any kind. But, that is because I feel that I have progressed beyond that evolutionary stage to another plane. I think that many women are still stuck in that stage with men, but most women I know have evolved to the higher plane as well.
naw, just giving my interprtation of the evidence at hand, (what everyone should do) and it seems the further in time you go back in religous studies the more goddesses you find. I also do not consider our ansectors as animals for at the very very very least the last 50'000 years and in the majority of that time we find man living in a world of plenty, and untill relativly recently we find no weapons designed for killing humans, (keep in mind now they were at least as smart as we are, only without ingesting poisins there entire lives). That kinda puts a hurting on mans excuse to hold absolute power. kinda sorta, like the world we live in now huh, . and just going by what realy know, the life you live and the poeple around you, if you look at it abjectivly dont you see men and woman sharing leadership? and how natural does that feel? If you have anydoubts take a poll on who "leads" in the household, (on the condition the spouse knows how they voted ), or perhaps you believe we are somehow more "sociely evolded" than those ancient poeple who spread across the entire world, well the evidence is very apposed to that
War is good. War has and will always be the ultimate means of resolving conflict and injustice. War advances science and technology and medicine. War makes the trains run on time. America is the strongest country in the world because of war. Who hates war? the weak and the vanquished, that's who. War is good.
Our trains don't run on time - plenty of people die in rail accidents though. So - what you gonna do now? spare a thought for those innocent victims, or take another drag, sip another sip,and forget it.Of course - We all take life for granted. Feel the rush of power?
We don't fuck around kids.We steamroll everything.Equality between men and women is simply happening because women no longer accept 2nd place. To get level - they gotta kick ass. I'd prefer it though if the men got a little more emotionally secure - and the women got a little less defesive. But thats a pipe dream
Being in the wrong place at the wrong time. ok - I'm not going to go on to argue about man inventing the wheel or anything, it would just get ridiculous - I'll keep my insane private thoughts to myself. But.... women would never have started an industrial revolution - would they - come on - be truthful.YEAH - theres no reason they couldn't but - somehow machines are a mindless - yet sometimes ooooh thats a clever thing - only men would come up with - thus trying to change the face - of nature - YES we can overcome disease - YES - we can cure any illness - YES - you can live even longer than we all expected.YES you can have kids at the age of 65.Yo we are clever.
Of course there's a reason, starting the industrial revolution had nothing to do with cooking a delicious turkey dinner.
