'member when....you could smoke cigs in a store, step on them to put them out....and the kid hired to clean the place swept them up with the rest of the dust or when you could drink a beer in public...or how loosely the drunk driving laws were...when .15 was considered drunk, if they pursued it...when you got caught cruising around (nobody does that nowadays) and were drinking and underage, they just made you stand out there in public pouring out your beers, and told to go home, I don't wanna see you in town the rest of the night... going to school high as fuck and it was just tough shit lol... Reagan took office and all that changed.
i remember the applespark name. i didn't realize it was that long ago. you can still drink beer in public. not everywhere, but it's definitely not universally outlawed (or at least not universally enforced).
i remember when there was a web site called zen bizaar, which i found hip forums by way of a link from. (that was some time in the 90s, because in the 80s d/arpa net hadn't gone public yet)
and so are non-commercial stations that play the good stuff you'll never hear on 'clear-channel' it also possible, depending on operating system and settings, to listen to music off your hard drive while cruising the net. i do so all the time.
