Right after New Year Lee Ann, We could meet in the middle and go together..
Back to the question. I would love to start a movement for the legalization of MJ in Texas.. but like I said TEXAS.. it's a tough nut to crack..and I have already been branded as a witch in my community. My bro in law made a statement over Christmas that my sisters and me would have been burnt at the stake back in the witch hunt times. I thought to myself, Hey self that is probably true and it gave my an erie feeling, I may have been burnt in a former life. It was very difficult to break into the hard shell of my town and become part of it. My hubby was born and raised here and here I stay for him. I would not do anything to jeperdize him or his standing in the community. I would have to work underground and with an alias. Hummm, I may look into it. I could do it if I set my mind to it. I have very strong will.

Medical MJ in Oregon works like this:You have to either grow your own(which I do) or designate a care giver who will grow it for you.We are allowed 3 mature plants(flowering) and 4 immature plants.I only grow one to two plants at a time since I developed my own feminized seeds years ago.I don't need to have mass quanities around,so I stay well under the limit.A recent poll showed something like 70% of texans approve of med MJ.Actually, over 70% of the country approve of medical MJ.For those of you who don't know if there is a med mj movement in your state, you can go to norml.org and see if they anything listed for your state. For me it was well worth it.Or,see if there is a norml chapter in your state. It sure beats the hell outta chemicals that destroy internal dodads.

    PEACE

It is illegal here (wisconsin) and as far as I know there isn't any sort of a movement for it's legalization.

I believe there is no medical marijuana legislation pending in Virginia. And I doubt very much if any will be forthcoming in the foreseeable future. Everytime this issue has come up in the last three years Virginia politicans remind everyone about Merinol [they don't seem to care about the cost] and the fact that the vast majority of the medical community in Virginia and the AMA in general do not support the use of marijuana as a medicine [when smoked] because of the toxic chemicals that are absorbed by the human body. I believe, the British have a much better grasp of the situation and a cheaper solution to the problem. With there newly approved and prescribed liquid THC that is administrated directly into the eye just like regular eye drops.

I think it's called sativex. They are also developing a inhaler which should prove interesting. Also, instead of smoking it,one could us a vaporizer.I have one of those,it's okay, but still not as effective as smoking.I don't use very much compared to other people I know.During the course of the day,I fire up in the morning, then just take a hit or two during the rest of the day to stay in my comfort zone so to speak. All in all,I guess I smoke about 2 joints a day.I think things will change all around the country if the supreme court decides in our favor. If they don't,that will open pandoras box as to states rights etc. There is alot more at stake here then just med MJ.Many states have filed a "friend of the court" petition in regards to individual states rights/laws etc.In simple terms, does the federal govt supercide state laws. We'll see in june or july when their decision is handed down.

Hey Budz... The only THC medication I can get here in PA is Marinol. And you have to take at least 30 or 40 of them gelatin balls to make it work.

So for now... well you know. It's the only herb that let's me be a semi-human these days. The only one that stops the non-stop nausea, and the only one that eases the pain of illness.

The only way that I get around the serious prosecution aspect of the illegality is to buy in very small quantities....

Hi Sam I Am,I've never done marinol.I understand it's synthetic? Anyways, every article I've read on it pretty much says what you do,it ain't very effective.I really believe that if the supreme court rules in favor of the states,MJ will be on a alot of state ballots in almost record time.I'm all in favor of full legalization, but just being "allowed" to have it for medical purposes is fine for me.
