By the way if you want to replace meat from your diet and yet still get all the nutrients, vitamines and minerals then try eating raw vegatables for snacks, like cellery and raw carots. As cooking and boiling vegatables removes a lot of the nutrients. Some raw vegatables like raw cherry tomatoes are also delicous and replace to need to snack up on biscuits and chocolates between meals.
6 months now I still get cravings ... but I've realised that it isn't the actual meat I miss, it's the spices and flavourings that it gets cooked in. Meat on its own is actually very bland.
Well done Paul I have so much respect for you for trying with this. It's great to see someone putting animals welfare above their own wants. Every veggie saves aprox 95 animals a year through not eating meat (of course the issues are slightly more complex than this but still).
for me ive been meat free for like three months maybe four.. well i mean i haven't been COMPLETELY meat free ive eaten meat twice so that my friend could stay the night & cuz my bro gave me twently dollars but ther than that...i don't even have cravings...except twice i had cravings for sandwich meat.....on my german bread.... yeah lol i never did like meat so it wsn't hard for me
Bumping this thread, because it's almost 18 years since I last ate meat -- and I've also been vegan for the last 9. So, for anyone who thinks they can't, well you can. Interestingly, I look back at some of the ideas I held in those days, and realise how I now argue against people with the same beliefs.
We don't eat trolls here, we just drown them, burn them, squash them like bugs. It's the only fun and best revenge that can be had with a troll... Now as to meat... I avoid the stuff.
There's something to be said too about a nice big pot of meat stew and suet dumplings !!! or a nice Sunday roast with all the trimmings !!!
