Where do you live Ideologue? I mean what the hell, do you live in a sleeping bag out in the woods? Of course not, you live in a building which has displaced hundreds of animals, where is your sympathy now? You reap the benefits of man but still bitch about it, as long as there is no inconvenience to you, you are a grade A HYPOCRITE. You have no place in logical discussion whatsoever, and to think, that someone actually spent time educating your dumbass just shows how far the public education system has fallen. Once again....I'll be back.....

I am a victim of 'man' you fucking imbecile. I live in the same house in which I have always lived. I live where those whom forced existence upon me, put me the day I left the hospital following my birth.

I reap no benefits. I use the minimum I need for survival and good health, plus some ultimately insignificant things to keep my mind occupied.

Your unfounded beliefs control you. You have no place in a logical discussion other than to disrupt it with your arrogant insularity.

You are a complete grade A fucktard. Your death will be a blessing for the Earth and its denizens. Do not bother returning.

Now how about you? That post is so irrelevent to the discussion... what does your post have to do with eating or not eating meat? Jeez...you're just being defensive...you want to 'win' the discussion, right? You don't even think of what you're reading ( besides thinking of comebacks). Much like other people here. They think it's some sort of war...eventhough we ( or atleast I), want to just infom you of the pain and abuse the animals go through... you couldn't care less of anyone but yourself, why?

I am well aware of the dogma. What I want to see is the science. An experiment with repeatable results. The work the David Kritchevsky (the nutty Russian scientist) I consider to be invalid because humans are omnivores and rabbits are vegetarian.Such an experiment mearly exemplifies the futility of animal experimentation.
The whole thing appears to me to be a hoax.BTW avoiding meat will not necessarily mean avoiding arteriosclerosis. That is a fact.Ask your doc.

    From the above link,
[IMG] "But completely avoiding meat was not the healthiest diet, the researchers found."

    From the above link,
    "
(not to mention the land that could be used to grow food instead of being used for grazing cattle)."

Not necessarily.Only 18% of mainland USA is arable. In Australia only 6% of land is arable.Such a statement shows a lack of crediblity on the author's part.

OK more of the endless preaching of the dogma, but where is the actual science? BTW Helen Steel and David Morris were (maybe still are) members of London Greenpeace not Greenpeace.I thought McDonalds were wrong to take these two to court even though I did not completly agree with what the famous duo had to say.

In all these links there is no real science. There are some facts contained in some of there links but again no experiment with repeatable results in relation to saturated fat and cholesterol. Some of the sites claim that saturated fat is only found in animal products.WRONG!
BTW if a vegetarian diet is more healthy, how come Linda McCartney died an early death. She certainly did not die from poverty.I would consider myself rich if I had 10% of her wealth.

I once emailed The National Heart Foundation (of Australia) to ask them of details of research concerning the role of saturated fat and cholesterol in relation to heart disease. The answer I received the writer first started out by stating that some fat was necessary for the human body.Surprisingly (S)he could not answer my question, but suggested I look through the Australian Medical journal and the British Medical Journal key words: lipids, fats, mycodial infarcation etc.I did this and come up with nothing to suggest that eating saturated fat was in any bad for your health.I also looked under the Journal from the American Medical Association and in the Lancet.Again I came up empty handed.
It makes me wonder how an idea that has convinced millions around the western world is not accepted the medical establishment in the respective countries.BTW they have a diet France that is high in cholesterol and saturated fat ,yet have a low rate of heart disease.

Than why is 60% of america overweight? From all the countries in the world, their diet has the most cholestorol and saturated fat. The more overweight you are, the more likely you are to get heart desease.

You must be kidding me. Sure, Americans eat more saturated fat and cholesterol, but we also eat more calories, sugar, and carbohydrates than anyone else, combined with less excercise. The US being overweight has aboslutely nothing to do with fat.

You know that would be right, but it depends wholly on whether or not the facts or bullshit PERTAIN TO THE DISCUSSION at hand.

Your original point was that vegans killed fewer plants than meat eaters; your quote is a far cry from explaining that. After that you told me that animals eat more grain to produce gained weight than humans would (no kidding). While the Ensminger quote may explain that in a slightly better way, it is still irrelevant. It is obvious that humans consume more grains and crops than animals; the fact remains that vegans as well as those eating an omnivorous diet consume these grains, killing more animals than those grains harvested for the use of livestock consumption combined with the deaths recorded in the slaugherhouses. The only use out of Ensminger's quote is that more of the hungry could be fed, it doesn't change the fact that those leading a vegan lifestyle brutally kill more animals than those which are humanely slaughtered for human consumption. Hey you know you should wear some wool, so you're not killing animals out in the fields.

You leaving piles of dead animals in a field is necessary, while I leave piles of animals in an offal container, but this is unecessary. What the hell is the difference? We are both killing to eat, to fill up our bellies with food we both kill and we both do so intentionally and without remorse, knowing the whole time the truth (see above - we both kill).

    WHAT ABOUT THE INSECTS IDEOLOGUE?!?!?!

Hey have you ever ridden a combine? You never replied to that, you attempted to divert my attention and I would like to know, how many fields have you harvested?

HAHAHAHAHA!!!! What do you still need your diapers changed? Can't move out of there huh.......least harm......right.....you've displaced animals, stolen there home for your selfish needs. I'm tired of your holier than thou attitude....forced existence upon you? You are one whacked out SOB.

So you get no pleasure from anything in life then? You reap all the benefits.....you're to damn concieted to see.

no no no.....see above holier than though....follow discussion. I do like good comebacks....who doesn't? Oh this is war, us versus them....they don't have a chance.....animals suffer more when they're ran through a combine, sliced open by the disc, slowly die from pesticides or have their guts ripped out by a hawk while they are still living.....if given the choice.....gimme that bullet in the head.

Ok you're right, I did not. What I was trying to say is that animal rights activists like Ideologue believe that animals are somehow better than humans. Know what I'm sayin? Think about the basis for the animal rights movement, it ain't equal rights. Humans could not coexist with animals if they did not control them, we need to eat and the like.....live and such. Hope that does it....if not go do some research......

How do you know this? Is that exactly what he said?
Which animal rights activists are these? I, for instance, am an animal rights advocator, but I do not think they are "better than humans". I believe we are equal.
    Prove it, please.
    Also, prove this.
Of course we need to eat, but we can do it without controlling anything. That's been proven by animals and early humans.
