I don't detest meateaters,but
Here's the reason I'm vegetarian:


First of all, Chickens:
Chickens are stuffed in crowded cages, where they literally go insane.
for barely being able to move.So, in order to not kill each other, they get their beaks and claws stripped off since it costs more money to make the cages larger. This is mostly done without pain killers (they cost money).Then, at the slaughter house they are zapped with electricity ( alive ),so they can't escape. When they're stunned, the chickens get their heads chopped off by the machine.
The eggs you eat are the ones the chickens lay while going insane.(exceptions are those of free living chickens).

Pigs and cattle are fed hormones to make them gain more fat . That way they get so fat, that 90 % of them live with broken legs,day by day, in small cages (with exceptions of bioengeneered and organic.Where the animals live freely and aren't fed hormones,-that's why both cost more money) where the animals can like chickens, barely move. When transported the animals can't move at all, because the truck's to full(money reasons), this often causes the animals to trample each other that most of them die before even ariving at the slaughter house. Than they face the same fate as the chickens did.

And that's the way the meat gets on your plate, The meat you devour for your own conveniance. Whenever you buy meat, you support this cruilty to animals

I agree with you peta lovers about not harming animals but i see one fault in your theory, not to say that you are wrong. but if we humans are animals and no better than cows or chickens, then we are no different that lions and tigers who kill and eat meat. Is murdering animals wrong, yes. but is feeding on animals wrong, no way! Every read the interview with the vampire.
Louie feels so sorry for his prey, he thinks its murder, but you can't deny what you are, a natural born meat eater!

See...I've got NOTHING against killing for meat, if we'd still do it ourselves. And I'v got nothing against hunting either, as long as it's for food and not a trophy. I just can't stand the torturing the animals go through in the meat industry, it's so unethical, and most people waste the life they've taken.

That requires a defined level of sanity beforehand... that you apply to chickens. You have to be conscious to be crazy, and so far, chickens haven't proved to be conscious.

How bout someone stuffed you into a cage for the rest of your life, so small you can't move? Only stand there and not sit down, because you can't bend your knees? Add to that a bunch of hormones to make you big and fat, so it breaks your legs?!?! Why the hell are you people so selfish, and don't care about anyone else but yourselves?

 

Meat is the shit. I eat it every day. The bloodier the better. Fuck it, just give me a cow. I'll cut off what I want and ride the rest home!

 

You can kill it yourself, as long as it's not from industries, and as long as it's not wasted. There's nothing wrong with that.

 

First I would raise it as a calf and only let it eat the best grass on the farm, then sing to the cow and braid its hair. We would take long cow walks and I would talk to the cow so it didnt feel lonely. I would even let the cow get high every once in a while and when it got nice and fat and had the happiest cow life one could imagine I would eat it. Would that be ok with you?

If being able to spell and punctuate is a sign of intelligence, I'd say I'm way ahead of you.

But you're only 14, so I'm not going to argue with you. Every day thousands of humans do things to each other that are far worse than anything done to an animal for food. There are too many real problems facing the world for me to have to worry about the ethincs of eating a burger at Wendy's.

 

I won't argue with you cuz your only 20 but there are far more worries in the world than spelling to go eat at wendy's

yeah, humans are tenacious bastards. you cant kill humans unless the planet explodes, or a nuclear winter comes up thanks to what the fuck is going on in the middle east.

seriously, you need to get your prioritys straight. PEOPLE are dying for no reason all over the place. just because some plants and cows are getting cut down and butchered (things that have been happening since we crawled out of the swamp...) you have to cry about it. why not instead of wasting your time and energy to protest something that is nessacary to fuel the human race, and protest the atrocitys that are going on inside even your own country. every day, people in america who just happen to get introuble for having a plant that is one of the most useful things to humanity (medicine, clothing, fuel, entertainment) are getting thrown into jail with rapists, murderers, wife beaters, and burglars. or the fact that over 12000 innocent civilians in iraq have been killed. yeah, good job for protesting eating animals that would just over populate and die on their own anyway.
