In general, he's right. Sure it helps, but until people stop eating meat on a large scale, all the animals are still being killed.

Did you ever stop to think though, how many
entire animals a meat eater eats in a lifetime?

Come on. They kill the animals, send the meat to stores, and it all gets bought. If one person overlooks it, someone else buys it in the end, and it all happens again.

I'm a a vegetarian, I think it's wrong to eat meat, but I can't see that a lot of progress is being made against the meat industry. Like I said, people need to stop eating it on a large scale before it makes much difference.

In theory, yes. However, it was still purchased. So it's almost like the person who overlooked it just didin't go to the store at all. Once it's rotting on the shelves because so few people are buying it, then there will be a real difference.

Yeah why did you call vegetarians stupid!!! I dont get that bit.
there is a big difference between vegetarinism and religion but some vegetarians push their beliefs onto people - just the same as a christian does!! THAT was my point.
Yeah one does include slaughter, some religion includes slaughter to be done differently than what if 'right' - some of it is pure evil, when they leave the animal to bleed to death for hours because thats the way their god intended it to be!!! i am serious with my statements, i know what happens to animals but some people look at eating meat different to what you look at it.
Not all meat eaters eat meat that has been butchered in horrific ways, some people shoot their animals, the animals have lived a fullfield life, they have been free range and one shot has killed them, some eat road kill.
Not all meat eats are evil and sick and most of them dont know what happens, most of them cant dream of catching and killing their food, et alone skinning and cooking it - but some can and do

to be fair though, just as many non-veggies push their beliefs onto veggies. so nobody's perfect.

i could just put on a porno or some shock site and offend more people than that.. that's what idle computers are for, not your bullshit vegetarian propaganda websites and videos...
honestly, i've seen tons of these animals getting murdered videos, i still eat meat.. plenty of people do.. ask anyone who is eating meat if they know how bad the animal they're eating probably got treated before it was killed in cold-blood... they'll probably say yes, i know i know... people already know this stuff, but we don't care...

either go all out and blow up the slaughter house, or don't do anything at all

Honestly- before people were aware of the horrors of the Holocaust, the US government didnt do anything to help...infact we turned jews AWAY from our port when they came to take refuge! But once the people understood the great suffering, they pushed the government and they took action.

The same approach needs to be undertaken here. It's not easy to do, but we need to inform meat eaters of the great suffering they are supporting. One domino falls and eventually brings down many others. Yes, one veg. is making an impact because he/she influences others who influence others who influence others who may influence a very rich man who may donate his money to the cause or an author who will write a book about the cause.

Putting this site on public computers is a GREAT idea!
