Meaning in a context of lack of admiration

Anyone remember the stories you were told about your great grand father? Great-great grandfather? Perhaps gone and forgotten? Not unusual. Observe. Listen. Act. Don't act. Live. Die. We come and we go. It is meant to be thus. Once understood,the nature of existance becomes clear. O verily,I say unto thee, even as Janis said--"Get it while you can".

 

What is success? What is failure? Is fame "success"? I have a hard time thinking so, knowing how much anguish many famous people endure. I'm not convinced that great wealth is "success", either, because it so often comes with doing great harm.
