Hi my new friends. Just a peek into what I grow for medicine now days. I've been growing outdoors since the late 80s but moved to Indoor growing about 12-13 years ago. I've only been doing autoflowers since I discovered them back in 2011 still but I'm planning a Photo grow after these are finished in about 55 days. Any questions any of you have feel free to ask. Like the set up, cost, nutrients, lights and so on. Maybe I can answer them. In this photo there are Northern Lights, Gorilla Glue, White Widow, Midnight Rider, Stone Dragon, and Good Shit.
Greetings UnholyFire! Wonderful to see your grow photos Now that you are a site member, upgraded from 'newbie' you can attach images directly to your posts, from your computer or phone. When creating a post you will see a button called 'Upload a file' under the text block. Click it and see what happens. The first time I grew outdoors was with Northern Lights, good strain! Gorilla Glue and White Widow are also favorites. Good Shit appears to be just a baby in comparison... you didn't start these at the same time as the others, did you?
I'd like to hear what nutrients you are using, and what kind of lighting in your grow... always interesting. Welcome to the site, by the way And Happy growing!
Thanks Zen and glad to be here and thanks for the member status. So, a friend turned me on to Green Leaf Nutrients line. I use there Mega Crop for veg, Sweet Candy for flower, add there Cal-Mag when needed and there Sea K throughout the grow. I want to get some of there Bud Explosion and give it a try. I've heard good things about it. It's all PH balanced and here product line is all vegan which is a plus. Last grow I added some Bud Candy from advance nutrients but I only seen a little difference. For the lights I just upgraded from the Auto COB (chip on board) to a Vipar Spectra pro-series-p2000- 200w LED which I won this past Christmas in a forum contest. It works amazing. Big difference In bud sites, growth and resin production. I grow in a 4x2x4 tent. I can fit 6 to 8 autoflower in 2 gallon fabric pots in it. 6 works great, 8 gets a bit crowded. The Good Shit baby is a replacement for one that didn't make it. It's a 65 day auto so it'll catch up soon. This is another last Northern Lights Autoflower from Seed Stockers I grew a few months back. And the last White Widow autoflower also from Seed Stockers
You have a green thumb! Jorge Cervantes would be proud of you All those branches, how did you accomplish that? Your choice of nutrients is obviously key to your success. I have used Advanced Nutrients, but that was ages ago. Have you ever brewed and used your own compost tea? It works miracles also Your buds look very happy, and I am glad to see LED lighting has finally become quite feasible for the small growers. Saves a ton of power, and so much less heat generated, a wonderful thing indeed. Did you make your own tent, or buy something? Thanks for sharing the great photos and information! Our site supporters at The Vault are offering a lot of freebies with their seed packs, check out their banners...
@~Zen~ Jorge Cervantes, I hope I would make him proud. Most of the time I'm just winging it though lol. All the branches are mostly genetic and I also use the low stress training (LST). Bent, tie down and repeat as necessary. The tent is one I purchased online. I do follow The Vault team. That's kinda how I found this place and very glad I did Here's how I'm implementing LST on the grow I have now. Even though there autoflower they can still get very tall and max out my little 4 foot tall tent. You can see all the plant wire I use to manipulate the branches as they grow. This is Midnight Rider autoflower. Seeds from a friend. A cross they made.
That is wonderful! Spreading out those branches increases your yield quite a lot. It's a brilliant technique. I first met Jorge Cervantes in Amsterdam at the Greenhouse Coffeeshop... I was lamenting how the rains were drowning my outdoor garden, and he volunteered to visit and help. That day he showed us how to use the same technique you call low stress training, and a few other things. We had a successful crop that year, which is pretty amazing in The Netherlands. The bud in my avatar image is Sour Bubble, a strain from BushyOlderGrower. That was in Northern California...
Oh wow, how amazing it must have been to meet him. Sour Bubble sounds yummy. Was that Indica or sativa or mixed?
Sour Bubble is a hybrid strain, very potent and made me cough rather violently... but sure got you HIGH! I ended up working with Jorge for a decade editing, taking photographs and designing the layouts for quite a few of his books, including the Bibles...it was a fun run while it lasted! That's why I am so interested in growing indoors, and you seem to have mastered the techniques quite well BRAVO! Be sure to keep us updated on your garden's progress, it's always fun to watch a master grower at work.
It's a tossup, I love both Indica and Sativa strains, but hybrids give you the best of both. One of my all time favorites is Blue Dream.... another is Cinderella '99. Cindy made me laugh, a lot! Blue Dream was just .. dreamy Both grew well both indoors and out. I recall getting five ounces of cured buds from just one Cindy plant, made me smile
