McDonalds is basically deep-fried crap.. and that method of slaughtering, while not the most humane, is a lot better than some I've seen (hanging the animal upside down and making it bleed to death for example). personally, unless you're gonna eat the brain, i think one gunshot to the back of the head is the most humane way to slaughter an animal.. of course you can't put them to sleep because then people would be eating tranuqilisers.. actually that'd be quite funny
I grew up on a small farm, we raised animals ONLY for food.... I seen them butcher the animals many times, and yes a gun shot from behind when they are sleeping, or eating is the best way to take out a cow, its quick, its easy, and its painless, and if you ask me and your going to kill an animal for food, it should be without torture, it should be without starvation, and all that crap. It should be quick and too the point, and they should be raised just like other animals that arnt being used for food, and not starved. I will admit though, depending the size of the bull, sometimes a gun shot will not drop them, my brother had to shoot a cow THREE times with a 44. to kill the thing, but that whole thing was crazy, and it was all because of my grandfather, but I wont get into that, cos its one of those stories that when I think about it, it pisses me off, due to the fact that the poor animal got torture for death, and thats one thing I am against.... but again a completly different story....
yeah, there's quite a few Halal butchers round my way, and I think the way they do it is barbaric.. it's much the same as kosher meat, they have to make the animal bleed to death. Fuck all that, if I went somewhere that served halal or kosher meat I wouldn't eat it. Too cruel.
i agree with comfortably numb and quoth the raven-but im not sure if bleeding to death is the most humane. i'd imagine its a lot like suffocating or drowning. but there's another thing to take into consideration-yes that killing floor was all neat and white, but keep in mind that was a movie...i've seen real videos of real killing floors, and they weren't neat and white, they were brown and dirty, and the cows themselves looked dirty. and ill leave you with some advice my mom gave me about chicken nuggets...there's too many critters in this world that taste just like chicken! and ya know, frogs are about the same size as a chicken nugget.....:O
haha, reminds me of that woman in South US (some redneck state) that found a Kentucky Fried Lizard.. mm, lizard.
i found it-not for the weak of heart-or mcdonald lover's http://static.filefront.com/images/personal/d/DanishAlHyderab/63212/vahnznbytt.jpg
To be honest I think every damn fast food joint should be shut down for EVER.... So damn nasty, when I drive through the city and smell it in the air, I just wanna through up. NASTY, feel like I gain 5 pounds just smelling it in the air.
So much for freedom, alright. It's better to let them change a few things, the amount of plastic packaging and their meatsupply for instance, then to close them down because you don't like the smell and it makes people fat. Some people actually like their food, let them have it. It's their responsibility right?
yes very true, but it's not because I hate the smell and the taste that I feel they should be shit down, I think they should be shit down because of all the facts that have been prooven about them places about how bad it is for everyone, the way they get their food, and the polution they create for the earth on a daily basis
i hate Mc Donalds soo much! its nasty my boyfriends sister has to have mc donalds every single day or else she freaks out on everyone it's fked up
there's addictive substances in the food. i used to work there, and yes there were people who ate there every day. some of them were huge. after i quit, i found myself craving it at some times. it's addictive, just like a drug. it's all the chemicals they pump in the food. why do you think it's one of the biggest companies in the world? just like cigarettes. you wont be able to get rid of them because america is too addicted.
McDonalds, Wendys, etc, do not raise or butcher their own beef, chicken or pork. All the meat is bought from suppliers. I can understand not wanting to eat at these places just for the health benefits, but to blame them for how each supplier handles their kill floor is futile. If you eat any meat, other than that which is "certified" free range and humanely killed. (no such USDA certification at this time) then you are supporting the supplier still. And yes, I am an Omnivore, and enjoy eating meat. But for you vegans and vegies out there, more power to ya.
i only get their milkshakes bc they are badass! plus a lot of my friends work their so they give me free shit
why not go for the gusto? if you don't like being a vegetarian, nothing's stopping you from going back i myself slip in and out of it. it's not as easy as it sounds lol
Painless? Let me ask you a question my friend. Do all animals (including humans) have a nervous system? If you don't know, check your local library's biology texts. Once you find out the answer, then try to argue that shooting an animal from behind while they're eating is painless. It's exactly like arguing that shooting a member of your family is not so bad because well, "at least they didn't feel anything." Make sense to you? This is just too much delusion for one post. Please, I understand you grew up on a semi-farm (whatever that means) and have been exposed to these practises all your life, but don't become part of the ignorant masses. Use your experience to your advantage, and be knowledgeable about what is really happening when anything is hurt - with a bullet, a taiser, or a slash to the neck. We all have nervous systems, we all FEEL. Peace your way.
