Maui Hawaii Hana Vana Memories

just thought i'd post about maui hi in the seventies. I lost contact with all the friends there long ago when i moved back to montana. i lived in the jungle in a tree house small
community. there were lots of neighbors, through the jungle who also had small, off the grid, hand built structures. we gardened and that was the main food supply along with free local papayas, mangos, avocados, macadamia nuts, etc. The only access to the treehouses was by walking. In one of the towns outside of Paia there was a "maui zendo of the diamond sangha" that looks like its gone now, according to google maps. It had a long hallway, wooden floors and large round or octagon windows. The monks sat on their pillows in a great room, for meditation.
