It sells more guns... $$$ makes sense to a lot of people.

 

It definitely packs more of a punch than a .22 but still.....I'm a little surprised they weren't using something else.

 

They can put a lot more powder behind the .223 due to a larger casing.

 

A coworker is now saying that this guy used to be a moderate Muslim, but married a radical woman, and she converted him over to her way of thinking. Most people who knew him didn't realize this was going on.

I'm glad I don't have any moderate or liberal Islamic employees in my office right now. It would be an uncomfortable situation, because everybody would be wondering if they were secretly turning radical. It could happen anywhere.

I could say something similar about right wing rednecks. In general, it just isn't a good time to put a lot of trust in people you don't know extremely well.

 

What Americans and Westerners need to understand is that every single case of terror in recent history has been carried out by the Wahabi sect of the Muslim religion. Wahabism started by a man with the same name. It is the core ideology behind the Muslim brotherhood. It is the main religion in Egypt, Saudi Arabia, and Pakistan, among other states. It is the religion of the Fort Hood Shooter, Osama Bin Ladin, Al Qaeda, Zarqawi, the first World Trade Center bombing, 911, and now San Bernardino. The Wahabist live by a very strict interpertaion of the Koran. They leave no room for the opinion of others. Wahabism is the religion of ISIL. That is why they kill so many Shia people in Iraq, Syria, Lebanon, Pakistan, India, and Yemen. They have no room for the religious opinions of others.

 

What difference does it make what they call themselves? I call them mass murderers.

 

It makes a difference when the government goes after them. ISIS and the Wahabist need to be defeated, not every immigrant on the street. And I call them mass murderers too. They are a very dangerous lot. They are very intollerant of other people.

 

The challenge is figuring out who's who. The main shooter in this incident was born in America, and he didn't go around making anti-American and anti-tolerance statements in public or at work. Not many people picked up on the potential problem with his new wife, who was apparently a radical for most or all of her life. He didn't make her views well known.

 

Exactly. And my guess is it's never really going to happen.

Just saw on CNN that the shooter pledged allegiance to ISIS on facebook...guess the FBI doesn't monitor social media very well.

I fail to see the difference between ISIS and the GOP. They both want to overthrow the government, they're both extremist radicals that use massacres to create fear, and they both want to force their ideologies on everyone else.

So are the cons going to call for the deportation of Muslims to eliminate the competition?

well technically the gun is the receiver...all the extra shit is just extras (stock,grips,accessories etc)

youll find that out quickly if you try to import one in pieces

they are legal because the .223 is a good and accurate round for hunting...especially over distance

That video is nothing but sensationalism and to me is disgusting in that it was not only made but then shown by any broadcaster.

 

rare I use a .223 for hunting other than groundhogs. it is a small round even with the powder keg behind it. only one bolt action do I have in that cal .. prefer the 3030, 3006, 12g slug.
I have 2 mini14s, whats so scary about this arm? shit, as wiz said and Im not just siding with a mofo. Ive just as many more .22 style rifles, impo a .22 brought upon human targets, its going to terrify and maim no differently than the .223 in the same style of rifle..
The Rifleman shoots 12 rounds from a 40-44, the concept of the tube fed rifle is going nowhere..
