I had no idea that so many insane people could actually get elected in this country!!

 

Last winter I stopped reading the DT thread....just had my fill of wasting my attention on such a mean, despicable idiot. Now got to the same point with MTG....better things to do with my time. I think Diogenes would have been worn out looking for an admirable Republican as well as an honest one.

 

I love kids. I just can't eat a whole one by myself.

 

Very, VERY SADLY .............. they get elected because of the limitless ignorance, stupidity, and gullibility of many voters in this country. Just listen to some of them TRY to prove a point, defend a position, or just make sense in a sentence.

Case in point - a person, when asked by a reporter on live TV why they believe the election was stolen from Trump, and what proof they have of the voter fraud they were claiming, the person said, "Proof? Everybody knows it. There's evidence all over." - - - - - - In a trial, that's called "Hearsay evidence." Spreading gossip - nothing more. Absolute proof requires something tangible - a paper trail or electronic "fingerprints" ........NOT rumors, wishful thinking, conspiracy theories and gossip.

I watched numerous people who supported T**** say almost the same things as "proof" they were correct.

News to you good folks ............. I'm the strongest person on the planet. You want proof??? "Everybody knows it."

This kind of "thinking" (???) is how and why MTG and others of her ilk get elected and have a voice today ............ no matter how silly, stupid, unhinged, hate-filled, and infantile that voice is.

 

They get elected because people won't put in the effort to vote. They think everyone else will. They get elected because of our archaic voting practices. Case in point. My polling place is a fire station. They have about four parking spaces they allot to voters. It dumps out onto a busy divided highway, you can't get in or out. Meanwhile, there are several public schools nearby with parking lots the size of Nebraska and easy access that would make it far easier for the everyday working guy to vote. Oh sure, you are supposed to get time off for voting...who dares to take half a day to do that? PLUS to vote you have to go back to your district, which could be an hour commute. Yup. Mail in voting was far far too convenient for the liberal majority.

 

Here in Oregon we have mail-in voting and Republicans hate us for it. We tend to vote Democrat, this is definitely a blue state, but not all over. Those in the more rural areas vote conservatively and there's a movement to join southern Oregon and northern California to Idaho. They're tired of us librulz in Portland, Salem and Eugene cancelling out their votes, especially after their savior Donald Trump was voted out of office.

Mail-in voting keeps the Repubs from restricting voting access by providing limited numbers of poll stations with limited numbers of voting booths in the more liberal and minority districts, keeping people who would vote Democrat from participating. The last election indicated that mail-in voting is a detriment to Republicans, who tend to lose in instances where the vote is more representative of all Americans.

 

My own polling place has changed from a school with LOTS of parking, to a community center with hardly any parking, then to another school with GOBS of parking, then to a private gun club (!), and the latest is to a local movie theater ................... all in a span of the last 4 years. WTF is that???????????? All kinds of "excuses" by the muck-mouth REPUBLICAN chairman of the election committee.

Does THIS sound like a blatant attempt to confuse voters as to where they have to vote??? Musical chairs with our polling place. A shell game by REPUBLICAN CONTROLLED election committee.

My advice to A-L-L voters who love DEMOCRACY, and FREE & FAIR ELECTIONS ............... go register to vote N-O-W !!!!!!!!!!!! DO NOT wait until it's close to the next election - whether it's a local election or a state or national election. GO NOW !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Waiting will give the FASCIST REPUBLICANS (not all avg. Republicans are fascists, BTW) a way to stall & delay your voter registration. GO N-O-W !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

A public alert ................ Over 100 Constitutional and Democracy scholars have written a letter stating that DEMOCRACY is in GREAT DANGER here in the U.S.A. They detailed their thoughts in the letter, and why immediate action is needed. These warnings ARE NOT a joke or hyperbole. Recent comments by a retired Lt. General - Michael Flynn - stating that a military "coup" like the one that just happened in Myanmar "should happen here." A military takeover of the government and scrapping the votes of the American public (which overwhelmingly voted for Biden and the Democrats!) to put T**** back in as president!!!! Overriding the will of the people!!! This is the walking piece of TRASH that T**** pardoned for his treasonous, seditious acts in cooperation with the Russians to interfere with the last 2 U.S. elections. WTF does it take for U.S. citizens to finally SEE what's going on here in our own country?????????????? The latest is that piece-of-shit Flynn may be court-marshalled by the military for his comments, which are treasonous and counter to military code of conduct - even for "retired" military personnel. The son-of-a-bitch is STILL drawing his military pension too. This is pissing off many current and former military folks. They ought to hang the traitor son-of-a-bitch publicly on NATIONAL TV.
