I can't speak for Winstons, though I know till like the late 70's it was the biggest seller in the country, American Spirits are awesome though.

First step to getting legal for all is opening medical pot clubs.

Maybe after 5 or 10 years later when they see that no has OD in the 9 states that have medical pot (no one has ever OD from pot or hash or kief.

Not just the 9 states that sell for medical pot but then everyone can be legal everywhere.

California has already hit limit for clubs LOL 140+ clubs and just in in SF alone 36 clubs,8 other states total about 20 clubs LOL

Calif will help lead the way!

link below is a bud from the pot club I go to.

The bud is 9.2 grams of 70/30 mix of indica/sativa.

Normal price $115-$120 they said even $100 the rest on house.

I am a card holder to smoke and I wish it was free for all of us to get legal.

i just thought of something. like, by legalizing weed, its not gonna make more people smoke it. the reason some people dont smoke isnt because its illegal, its because they just dont want to, so why would making it legal cause more people to smoke? what is the government afraid of... theres gotta be a reason we dont know about that they spend millions, if not billions of dollars trying to eradicate this plant... it just doesnt make sense and it pisses me off so much. they could easily grow weed and tax it and make money. if they really cared about the people it would be legal because they would make sure no dangerous chemicals are added and it would reduce crime by an insane amount... so like... wtf is wrong with the government??? is there something im not seeing???

Actually, number 2, if remedied, would knock out numbers 1 & 3.

I can't believe people are actually on here, begging for that rediculous preminition to be true! It's a slactivist's biggest orgasm! And, they've gotta be stoned to even think it might be true!

IT'S NOT TRUE, PEOPLE!!! National legalization WILL NOT HAPPEN until we start taking action, and I don't mean the silly, brainless kind of action that hasn't been doing a bit of good for the past 40 years, but all those smoke-ins sure are a good excuse to get high and piss people off!

True, our side is making great headway on the state level. Because our cause is so unpopular, we are having to take America state-by-state, but the federal laws still loom just as menacingly, and sick patients still get busted. All of us have to be active on the state level and on the federal level, as much as possible. Who is going to speak out, if not us? The ultra conservatives who just want us all to go away?...Mothers Against Drunk Driving? Our dealers? Who are we waiting for??????

Celebrities getting busted all the time. Most make no secret, but how many are testifying on Capitol Hill for us? This is their cause, too, but it's up to us to show that to them. It's up to us to let our representatives know how we want them to represent us. The buck doesn't stop with celebreties. WE must ACT, too.

Marijuana will not get legalized until the public starts speaking up. We have a lot of legitimate gripes and hundreds of uneducated public officials.

Don't be a slactivist! Join the activist list "No More Prohibition" at Yahoo!Groups. Send an e-mail to nomoproh-subscribe@yahoogroups.com. We'll have organized writing campaigns with addresses right at your fingertips, sample letters, fax numbers, bill alerts, and many other things. The list is to equip people with the knowledge and ability to get marijuana legalized, both on the state level and on the national level.

You Can Do It! You Can Be Effective!

Most people don't realize the drug war is no longer about keeping drugs off the streets and from children that's just a cover see the real truth is it's about money, politics and power the real truth they don't care about our health or our children they just want you to think they do because then you will support them it's soo sad. They say we live in a free country freedom is nothing but an illusion all americans are slaves with invisiable chains.

Freedom is a many-faceted, positive term encompassing the ability to act consciously, in a well-balanced manner and with self control in a given constructive direction.

In the context of internal control, freedom is also known as self-determination, or autonomy. From a spiritual perspective, freedom may also be called inner peace; the presence of inner control, and an inner experience of choice, spontaneity and fulfillment.

The protection of interpersonal freedoms can be the object of a social and political investigation, while the metaphysical foundation of inner freedom is a philosophical and psychological question. Both forms of freedom come together in each individual as the internal and external values mesh together in a dynamic compromise and power struggle; the society fighting for power in defining the values of individuals and the individual fighting for societal acceptance and respect in establishing one's own values in it.

Spiritually, freedom encompasses the peaceful acceptance of reality. The theological question of freedom generally focuses on reconciling the experience or reality of inner freedom with the omnipotence of the divine.

First thing what is this about alberta holding back the legalization! Where are all of these eastern politicians who are pro pot (ha a pro pot politition! awesome) It's not whether they are conservative or liberal, that is going to make a difference, no politician has the balls to admit that legalization of pot would be beneficial in the long run and effectively less harmful than alcohol or cigarettes.

Lets be realistic this is NOT just a government issue action at the federal level may not make a difference! THink about it, if pot were legalized people the sales on booze and cigarettes would drop. Mostly cigarettes! This would be unacceptable in the eyes of Big Tobacco, and believe it or not large tobacco companies have a disgusting amount of political power. Not to mention the fact that admitting that pot is far less harmful than cigarettes at this stage of the game would make many politicians look like the idiots that they are. For years they have been telling us that pot leads to harder drugs, pot causes impotency, pot is highly addictive, pot will ruin your life and your drive. None of these serious claims have any concrete evidence to back them up, in fact most of these are blatant lies!

I do agree that we have to become more educated and that we must educate others but i also think that we have to look at the deeper causes to the problem and think of ways to address them...maybe in order to make pot legal we should boycott tobacco. Just a thought

Nothing will be 'legal' in 2010 but I wouldn't be surprised if decriminalization for certain amounts started popping up on ballots around the country by then. The government is becoming more Democratic and more liberal so who knows.

Legalization will never happen, and if it does we won't be here to enjoy it. Decriminalization will happen slowly but we may be able to reap those benifits.
