They are making their point very clear, and I think these strict laws are necessary. Of course their gonna make the penalties harsh - marijuana is an illegal drug right now, and they want to make certan that if it is legal that it doesnt get in the wrong hands.

Of course you can drink in public, but it is totally against the law to be DRUNK in public - there is a fine line between the two. It's not like drinking where you have to drink a certan amount to feel any strong intoxicating effects, Pot effects you on the spot and your intoxicated in public - there ya go.

Why are you complaining about what the NEW and MUCH MUCH less severe laws could be? This is a lot better than nothing bro.. And even the fact they are getting enough support to even throw something like this on the ballot is a big big step-up for the marijuana community.

no shit its going to be legal you dumbass nay sayers, last year i figured it would be legal in ten years or so but four years from now is great, its not that hard to believe that its going to be legal even though its been illegal for so long, with the legalization in denver last year just think how many more states will legalize it in the next four years, the U.S. government wouldnt have legalized it in one city and then just have it illegal the rest of the country, i mean when you open you fucking eyes its not that hard to believe.

Under local jurisdiction, possession of a specified amount is alright, but it's not fully legal in Denver. So what we're saying here, even a progressive city like Denver is facing trouble with the laws. The rest of the country is still stuck in deeper shit.

I doubt it will be legal in 2010, but in the last couple years a lot of people have become much more accepting that marijuana is not a harmful drug, it wouldnt surprise me if the law for posession became much more lenient in most states.

 

actualy i believe many things are legal in denver, and if you are of legal age in denver a small amount of marijuana is one of those many things that are legal
