marijuana doesn't exist, the cannabis sativa plant does though, which containts delta 9 tetrahydrocannibinol. As well as CBD. I agree with the OP, marijuana was and is still used by government agencies as a derogatory word. It was used in the 1930's to spread racist fears about mexicans and 'satanic jazz playing negroes' mostly now a days it's not seen as it was historically. View it as a joke on them, not us, call it mary j wanna in the most southern drawl accent you can. as long as people realize the historical importance about the etymology of the word and how it implied racism that's good enough i guess. I always call it cannabis or ganja or bud. MJ is a US term. the forum name won't change, unless someone is feeling pedentic.
