That's a bit far fetched in sounding. Though why would it matter how expensive it would be? America wanted to beat Russia. They'd have done anything to do that.

Anyway, people can believe what they want to believe.

 

To prove it was Americans who landed on the moon, they left 3 cars. They can be seen by telescope (a really big one) along with every astronaut footprint. They'll be there for eternity.

 

someday someone's gonna salvage one of those suckers. i only know about the one that everybody saw live on the tube. hadn't really thought about that there might be three different times they took one up there. "cars" is kindof almost a bit of a stretch, basically a go-cart frame with a battery, and big tires.

not exactly an environment hospitable to life, however much fun it might be to jump around in 1/6 gravity, unless you bring everything you need, and then have to leave most of it behind to get back.
and who cares which country did what? that's why we haven't seen the multi species galactic welcome wagon.

not exactly the most scenic spot humans have ever explored. mars is a wonderland by comparison. fantastic view of our own blue marble from there though.

I don't know why not. However, the orientation being what it is, the image would be looking down on it from above. So it would be maybe 2 inches in diameter with a 32nd of an inch Kapton or Kevlar line sticking out of it for maybe 2 feet. I don't know if we can see flags on poles so well on earth from that kind of distance.

 

The government faked the moon landing in order to actually land elsewhere on the moon and secretly meet with the insidious alien anal probe mind control conspiracy which is led by Elvis. He's been hiding on the moon all this time and just visiting once in a while.

 

Actually, because of Elvis' ability to stay absolutely quiet on Earth for all these years, he's now being employed by NASA to teach future astronauts how to not make any noise when doing work on the moon, and to explain to them exactly why that's so important.

 

I can get behind either of these two theories.

I can't believe you guys believe in the moon. you're part of the cover up! the moon is actually a projection that's been in place since 2204 bc when the actual moon was pulled down by misuse of atlantean technology, sinking the entire island. the survivors were so ashamed of destroying their civilization that they went to egypt, mesoamerica and indo-china and built massive temples and pyramids to harness earth energy to project an image of the lunar disc, as well as causing tectonic waves that mimicked the tides... the pyramids were the power collection points, the temples are the power conditioners, and the subterranean cities were the control centers. seriously, guys. you expect me to believe the moon is real??

its not knowing what we don't, its giving people ideas, that some of them get developed and built upon.
(so it looks like prediction in hindsight, but really isn't. just inspiration)

speaking of which, there are things left behind on the moon, reflectors and that sort of thing, that are passive and can still be detected.

but every time someone tries to deny that it happened, that humans have landed and walked on the moon,
what that's telling me, is that we really need to get back up there, and build something there, that no one can deny,

because its something we've obviously built, and anyone with can spot with a reasonable power of reflecting telescope.
maybe something like nezca lines? or just a good sized dome and maybe a rotating permanent crew like the i.s.s.

(i know we're talking ridiculous expense, because earth's gravity well isn't going to get out of the way creating that expense)
also you can send a lot more robot construction crew then humans because they don't require the mass of everything humans need to live,
just a good set of self maintaining solar battery chargers, or even nuke batteries sufficient to last long enough to get the job done.

(compared to what is wasted on the military, the cost of lifting sufficient mass off earth shrinks to reasonable proportions)
