The FBI figures for 2013 for hate crime reported 5,928 hate crime incidents involving 6,933 offenses. Of the reported 3,407 single-bias hate crime offenses that were racially motivated, 66.4% were motivated by anti-black or African-American bias, and 21.4 percent stemmed from anti-white bias. https://www.fbi.gov/news/stories/2014/december/latest-hate-crime-statistics-report-released That would seem to indicate that black people are three times more likely to be the victim of a racially motivated attack than a white person.
Are people really offended by getting called white boy by a black person or do they merely act as such because it is the supposed equivalent of the N word? I really wouldn't give a shit if some people call me honky or what not.
I do not believe it is normal human nature to be violent like that. People who do this, are either not human or their brains are not wired correctly. Unfortunately there seems to be more of this type creature roaming the planet than ever.
I'm offended by being called gringo, if it's used negatively. I think the point of talking about this is that racism goes in all directions from any race towards any other race. There are many African Americans that don't like white people. I had a bad experience or two! There are probably more angry young African American men than angry white boys. I dunno why, maybe it's the culture.
I see it very differently :-D Violence is very normal, it is all about wether the victim is included in the 'we' or 'them' group so to say. Fortunately we live in a great time where in our part of the world it is slowly but steadily becoming less accepted for citizens to inflict violence on the other. If it seems this violent behaviour was better in control in the past maybe it is because we don't have a clear picture? Because if we look good we can see nasty violence is of all times and if we look at the justice system we rarely did better.
I think in the past it was more seen as 'boys will be boy's. Today the judge would say 'we can't accept this behavior'.
There are many people who don't like other people for all kinds of reasons. I assume if I am being called white boy, honky, gringo or cracker and what not it is used negatively. But I would not be offended by being called as such. If I would be a black person I would most likely feel offended by being called ****** by a white person because of the history that made that word prevalent in western culture. White people are simply riling themselves up by portraying being called honky or cracker by a black person holds the same meaning.
Well going from the statistics I posted about being the victim of a racially motivated hate crime then black Americans would seem to have more reason to be angry than white Americans. Problems can arise when people start beginning to think in terms of them and us* rather than just - we the people. [edit] *and some people and politicians try to promote and exploit that type of division.
True. I don't associate using the N word with slavery. I grew up in Ohio and typically avoid the south east USA. I guess it depends on the hustle to just how I would feel and react to being called something.

Those are cities in Idaho. Idaho is a rats nest of crazy racist white separatists, so I see why tension could run high.
Ok since IRQ seems unwilling or unable to explain why he chose that news item rather than any other we are left to come to our own conclusions. If he was trying to highlight racially motivated hate crimes wouldn’t he have been better off doing what I did and show the figures? And anyway if he was trying to do that wouldn’t it have been more accurate to have posted an item about a black victim seeing that black people are three times more likely to be the victim of such a crime. So why this item, and why the emphasis on it being an attack on a white person by black people, what was the point? Was it meant to somehow invoke a response centred around race? I mean that would make sense of the chosen news item, the emphasis on it being a white person being attacked and the reason why IRQ is seemingly so unwilling to explain why he posted it. But as I say without that explanation we can only come to our own conclusions. You are the owner of your own mind, feel free to come to your own conclusions. No one can tell you what to think.
As an African American I feel outrage that one of my own would stoop so low as to allow race to cloud his judgement, but I’m convinced through racial awareness and sensitivity training no further outrages will occur, and Caucasian Nation will not only survive this act of barbarity but will be stronger as a result.
