Why is it always the man's responsibility if a bitch gets pregnant? And how come she gets this huge list of options but the mans only option really is to comply or go to jail? No thanks, I'm sorry, but that's fucking bullshit.

Back in the day, women used to have the responsibility: They got pregnant, they marry the dude. Period. They did this for the KIDS. You feminazis wanna shirk that responsibility... fine... but don't get upset when the father of your kid shirks his and becomes a deadbeat dad.

And the sad part is that the kids and future generations suffer.

And here's the idea behind the waiver.

You wanna have sex with me, lady? Well this waiver is to indicate that you understand that having sex comes with risk of pregnancy which is a health risk to yourself. By signing this waiving you indicate that you understand this and waive my responsibility because it is YOUR body and YOUR responsibility. :)

wrap it up and only fuck people you know arent lying when they say theyre on the pill

seriously if you dont want children that badly, make sure youre always wearing a condom and that shes reliably using birth control

    Oh well?

Actually I love women. I just hate feminists, and I have strong opinions on certain topics. This is one of them. Sorry you don't agree. You're probably a feminazi and want women to rule the world. I've met many of that ilk; sorry, you won't brainwash me with any rhetoric.

Tough question! On the one hand, I'd like see guys have more empowerment in such a decision, but letting the guy off the hook like that could lead to bigger problems, 'cause now the woman shoulders the entire responsibility, and that's not fair either for the woman, the child, or society. I'd rather see reform in custody law so guys are on more equal footing, like they would have the option for custody half the time, and neither party would be required to pay the other child support.

The first step would be to eliminate the adversarial relationship between the sexes when it comes to divorce and custody laws.

Being a guy, I can empathize with the frustration expressed in some of the above comments, as sexist as they might sound. The courts always seem to look at us like we're the criminals, and we end up getting screwed, even if the mom's a total psycho. She gets the kid, we pay the bills, and we don't get to be a part of the kid's life. It's really hard to prove a woman to be an unfit mother, and by the time you do, the kid's already emotionally scarred for life.

Obviously the best solution is to be really careful who you sleep with, considering the consequences. Birth control isn't 100% effective, and I should know, but I was lucky. The woman I fathered I child with early in the relationship turned out to be a soul mate. We had troubles accepting it in the beginning, but we were patient with one another, reconciled our differences, and now we're married.

feminism is a very broad term that means different things to different people.

To me it's just a woman who stands up for herself as an equal

It's sad you hate so many people without understanding their particular take on things. Not all feminists are half breasted amazons set on ruling the world (just an example). The type of feminists you speak of I always hear people bitch about but I have yet to ever meet one. this reeks of proproganda to me

I don't think anyone can tell a woman that she should or shouldn't have an abortion. We really should be a long way past dictating to anybody what medical proceedures they should undergo. If somone doesn't want to be a father it's quite easy to avoid. If you're not responsible enogh to wear a condom you're not in any position to start telling people what to do.
I'm a man and I don't feel in any way hard done to. If you've got even half a brain there are certain aspects of your life over which you can have a fair amount of control, so to all those idiots out there giving men a bad name just suck it up and behave like proper men and stop crying about how bad it is for you.
Even if, god forbid, you do get somone pregnant it's still no reason to be able to force somone to get rid of it. Just stay out of there life until you grow up. The kid'll be better off. Besides how does it work if you want the woman to abort and she doesn't want to. What are you going to do? Shoot her with a tranquiliser dart and cart her off to the clinic. Good luck with that.

You need to read it a bit more carefully tenbob. No one here is suggesting forcing women to have or not to have abortions. The point is that right now men are in a situation in which we are legally required to support a child that we may not want, while women can choose to abort or not to abort. The suggestion is that if the man wants an abortion and the woman doesn't, the man should be relieved of child support responsibility.

    You're confusing the issu.e

No one should ever have the right to disregard the child they created. Neither male or female.
Yes, the courts treat fathers like shit. Believe me, I've been there and am patiently waiting for my youngest daughters 18th birthday.

If you, as a man, are not willing to take the responsibility of fatherhood and all it contains, you need to keep your dick out of women. Period.
To disregard your responsibilities when it comes to your own child shows how much of a man you will never be. I have less respect for a person (male or female), who turns their back on their own child, then I do for any other type of human being.

Now I'm actually a little surprised. Think about what you're saying a bit.

"I have less respect for a person (male or female), who turns their back on their own child, then I do for any other type of human being."

This is a ringing condemnation of abortion in general.

But more to the point, you're talking about moral responsibilities. This thread is about legal responsibilities.
