Sell everything that you own, leave the bare essentials, leave your walls empty, leave your floor empty, and leave your rocksack packed and ready to be able to get up, get out of that door, and go out into the world with all that you own on your back.

 

jesus poster, sitar, starry black ceiling with zodiac signs and other astrological trippy shit, grateful dead tapestry, hookah would be cool, mattress or go bum w/ a sleeping bag, some plants maybe even a tree, bodhi tree is what buddha meditated under when he was young would make an awesome centerpiece, buddha statue, maybe park a vw van in the middle and live in that, have a stage with a trippy band playing all the time, blacklights, paint the walls black and flick neon orange yellow green red blue paint on them looks crazy w/ blacklights, pet monkey or iguana, marijuana plant, name them so they know u love them, mine are named bert and scott and i used to have charlie but i smoked him dry, alice i wl poster, lots of band posters, wooden door beads, some heavenly blue morning glory vines growing up the walls, and any other thing your heart desires that your pocket will allow...

 

A giant mattress and no bed frames. Definitely.

Wow, all of this has really helped. I'm trying to make it my own, while at the same time having some suggestions to lead me in the direction I want. Thanks for all of your replies.

i wouls say lots of black lights i painted each wall in my room a different colour one wall being teal another pink another light green like a tye dye and one wall black which is covered in those glow in the dark stars black lights mushroom posters beatles posters( i love the beatles) and lots and lots of hanging beads and lava lamps also my bed is on the ground and i have never slept more comfortably than when it is on the ground i love my room and it is the shit to trip in all my friends love coming over and tripping in it

 

dont forget dream Catchers and door beads , bean bags , butterfly chairs , an altar that looks liek a shrine , the bed can even be a futon so that when u want to sit and have more room for yoga / meditating then when ready for bed u pull it out , old LPs or ther covers , christmas lights strung from the cilling , really cool rug on the floor ... this is stuff i can think of and if i copied any one ideas sorry , but i have lways wanted to do hippy , my friends know if i had the chance i would turn our 2 bed and attic aprtment into a hippy pad with a sanctuary for rituals , smoking , etc, peace out and hoped it helped

 

what iv done in my room is me and my friends went out and bought a 5 litre tub of black paint, 1 litre glow in the dark paint, 10 yrds of see through cloth, 7 cans of different coloured spray paint and a shit load of weed haha, there was 5 of us.

We started on a thursday and we didnt leave my room till sunday, baked the whole time we started with a base coat of black paint on the walls and ceiling. then some trippy things all around with the glow in the dark stuff. Next we tye dyed the cloth with paint and a lot of glow in the dark paint (that turned out really good, we hanged that from the ceiling) after that we got to work spray painting some really nice spiritual drawings on the walls and ceiling. A few lava lamps and a lot of munch later haha and my room is amazing, everything is the way i want it and soon with ideas from here im replacing my bed with a hamock.

As for the original post CannabisBones just do what you feel is right but that doesnt mean that you cant get friends to help...enjoy the act of transforming your room too, not just the rewards when its done.
