When I think teaching, of course I don't think about the classic way of teaching, the teacher who speaks for an hour long in front of 40 half asleep teenagers who don't give a shit. That wouldn't work well.

Maybe I shouldn't have used the word ''teach'', I should have used "encouraged''. You certainly can encourage independant thought, creativity and curiosity.

Also how can you be so sure that "it's a quality you either possess or don't? Have you seen a study that proves it? I havn't, and that's why I think it's worth giving it a try. After all, it hasn't been done (on large scale). How can we know it won't work?

Me too, and I find that the type of intelligence the world needs isn't encouraged at school. We're more encouraged to accept and assimilate what the teacher says, than to develop our sense of criticism.
Again I'm sceptical with that idea that intelligence is innate.

If you really expect your plan to succeed, you are delusional. The sixties are over, and there is still war, inequality and capitalism all over the world. The hippie 'revolution' amounted to nothing. If you do this whole 'reminiscence of the sixties' thing, with Woodstock and all, people are never going to take you seriously. Also, too many people are content with the status quo for a revolution of any kind to succeed. And most of those who are, look down on hippies.

Is this true? It would greatly enhance my respect for the man.

This maybe wasn't adressed to me, I'm not sure, but please note that I never mentionned the sixties. I'm not even sure I've wrote the word hippie on this thread... but I still stand by my point.

Is revolution really that bad of an idea? Many who might not be as supportive of a revolution at home, for example, might want it somewhere else like the Middle East. Revolution after all is a natural part of any political cycle.

Yeah but thats the funny thing. If a revolution happened in the middle east it would inevitably carry over into other countries, including the US. The end result would probably be that the progressive elements in both societies would finally get what they want. So in essence the conservative order is overthrowing itself. It just shows you the paradox of modern US politics.

I'm a "9/11 truther" and i'm damn proud I don't swallow everything i'm spoon fed by elitist agendas. Unlike the profane I refuse to be led over the cliff complicitly.

you people want change? is that what you want? you cant have change. you cant change the world. you have to wait till time does it's thing... and nothing can speed up the process. just wait till science and technology advances to the max alright? :)

Of course, if enough people step up. And there are millions around the world who would.

Change is happening continuously, even as we are speaking, so you can't say we can't have change. :)

Acually it was not me who brouth up people believing things on the interent, that was hippie chick:

Second it is irrelevent because no on this thread had ever talked about or claimed to be a '9/11 truther'. Also you bringing up this video only helps prove the point that everything on the net is not nessasrily true.

yea we can HAVE change but we can't change things RIGHT now, thats what i meant by letting time do it's thing, understand? pretty soon everything will be different from this time, you know our generation, and change WILL occur. that only happens because, the WHOLE world changes. and we all contribute. but like this whole woodstock thing, it cant happen unless the whole world is about woodstock, you know wat i mean? so u people have to go worldwide with this IF you want change to happen.
