Obviously what I said isn't worth shit to you...If you're going to bad-mouth and criticize the new peace movement, leave, we don't want any bring-downs around, man.

Yeah, judging by you if you were the only example of your generation I'd agree. But you are just a small percentage of stupid young people that buy into the established way of thinking as long as someone buys you designer goods and keeps a roof over your head. Mommy and Daddy paying your way through school?

As much as it might pain me to say it; He is entitled to his opinions. Right, wrong or indifferent; he's entitled to them like all the rest of us. Peace and Love !(it has had some effect politically)

WoodstockChild, I want you to know that i'm behind your plan 100%. And I don't care what assholes like L.A. Matthews think or say. He doesn't know a thing about this. And to all of the other people who have been supporting her, I say, I hope that when this happens, we'll all be together so we can share a beautiful world under the sun. Now i'm done arguing cause it doesn't get one anywhere. Peace and Love to everyone!

    You're absolutely right.

Shouldn't "Free Speech" be apart of your "Movement", or are you going to be an alternative to George Bush? "If you're not with us, you're against us"

If you don't wish to be judged by it, then remove it. Afterall you have it as your signature.

Actually, they arn't as a matter of fact.:) And nor do I wear designer goods, and nor am I stupid. So, because I don't agree with your opinions I'm obviously a little kid who knows jack shit. With the maturity of a 16 year old (ala Citrus_Seas) you are going to be very little help to this "Revolution". For God's sake, you even have to resort to personal insults.

Go sleep it off Matthews. You're making no sense. Go finish your term paper. I am sure your teacher will be able to make sense out of it.

    He's not an idiot!

He's a man hating idiot! Perhaps he was molested by an uncle when he was young. Perhaps he's actually a woman in disguise. Perhaps he is now impotent. I'm not sure what exactly it is but if you pay attention to his(her?) posts over the next few months you will notice the same thing.

Wow, I can't wait to live in utopia. Woodstock have you put a band together yet; I just can't wait for your music to stop all violence, war, laws, government, famine and abuse in the world.

no, i dont want any high paid job, im not going to college. all im saying is that no one will listen to anything a high school drop out says. you could be the smartest person in the world, but no one will listen. and if you want to start a revolution, you need to have people listen to you.

That meant so much to me, especially coming from someone who was at Woodstock '69. Thank you.

hippies, "conservatives", populists, progressives, Constitutionalists, Christians, Rastas, Muslims, Jews, Americans, Iranians, HUMANS!! Its time to unite under our own new paradigm...that of a strong willed, enlightened, youth grassroots movement supported by every other segment of society. Woodstock child I love your idealism and pray that you never lose your way. In our chaotic tangled existence we all take solace in meeting others who feel the same way as us on things. I wanted to tell you that those people are definitely out there, and in numbers you can't imagine. Not everyone in America embodies the image of the so called "Ugly American," fat, servile, lazy, and complacent as you know. Just as not every Muslim is fundamentally extreme and wants to see the end of all other religious ideologies.
Its time for the youth...one of my remaining hopes for change to unite through this vital tool we have, the internet. We must stand up, before there is nothing left to stand up for. The elitists want to take the world for theirs and do not care about humanity, in fact, they could not possible be more psychologically detached from it.
My mother came of age in the mid to late 60s and went to college in politically charged Boston, MA during the draft resistance era, she also was at Woodstock though doesnt fit the typical definition of a hippy. But obviously that is what makes associating with hip culture so great as we try not to sell ourselves short with boundaries and barriers to free thought and free association. These are some of the basic tenets laid out as ideals our founding fathers had for a good direction to point future generations. It is a national disgrace that these ideals have grown so distant and alien to us as a nation.
Sorry for the rant but I wanted to offer my thoughts and I would like to hear yours. I have some progressive minded grassroots things that myself and others are encouraging in this somewhat backwards rural Kansas college town including a highly active college sanctioned student organization called the Constitutional Freedom Society. The midwest and many other parts of America need some reeducation and indoctrination as to some of the history lessons and critical thought that are not taught in schools.
The first step in solving a problem is admitting we have a problem, this is not happening in mainstream America to the extent that it needs to be.

Right on. That's exactly what this world needs today- the vision of the Age of Aquarius brought into reality.
