I just went to the Canada forum to see if anyone is talking about Don Cherry and it’s a ghost town over there. Crazy.
I feel you also have an interesting perspective and insight on many things. But i also feel you hold back much or choose to remain quiet. Drift is definitely outspoken.
Don Cherry was the former head coach of the Boston Bruins back in the late 70s, and at 85 years of age is probably getting a bit senile.
So, the Grand ol' forums ain't so grand anymore, did you know Donald Trump's not a member but they keep him right outside their door? Hell we suffered enough with the new layout back in TWO ZERO ONE FOUR , I say the Grand ol' forums ain't so grand anymore.. Well they were nervous about 6 eyes cause he had a crooked smile, for many many years they never wanted Shale either cause he was just too damn proud. Do you really think they ever wanted the fucken Irminsul hangin' around? Hell nah 'cause they're just buncha uptight sissies and real Rebels like get down. I say the Grand ol' forums ain't so grand anymore, they done fucked up everything that made it so great before.. There's sooo many long members that have walked out the front door, I sayy the Graand oo'l forums ain't sooo grand annyyyyymmMMOo0o0o00000re Danke friends! Goodnight!
The ingroup vs outgroup (noobs) seems WAY stronger than I recall for the first half decade I was on here. It seems like the intent is to drive away 90% of new people trying to participate on this site.
It was that way when I arrived in 2003, the ingroup in RTs wouldn’t give you the time of day. A few members of the ingroup were banned, and persistence eventually paid-off
I think I've only seen one adult photo of him and he was wearing a hat and not the one pictured above but regardless not my domain to comment on.
I just felt like I already knew and liked you all so just talked to everybody as if they were already my friends until you had no choice but to accept my friendship : ) I felt varying degrees of resistance.
It took me a long time to connect with anyone here, except for fellow new people. Hipforums was still pretty active when I first joined and anything I said was ignored by the regulars for the first year I was here haha. I'm surprised I stuck it out actually
Good for you Melial. Most forums usually have a pecking order. Some like you are patients whilst others just barge straight in hell for leather. It all gets noticed and remembered.. It depends on how you much you need from a Forum/Forums Some drop in, post a couple of comments and do their bit for Hip. Some like to spend a little more time on a forum and others for whatever reason need forums all the time and every forum has or has had those members. Whether you connect or not with your postings is down to a number of factors which used to be simple but now it seems to be for more immature reasons. All a bit play groundy at times for us grown ups.
Yeah, I was going to say that I thought it had gotten better over the years, if anything. Now, I couldn't even tell you who the in group was?
