It should be about how the cat is not just what sounds good. i watch my pets for a few days see if they have any quirky behavior or not if nothing great pops up then i look to all the old people names i know. Like Winston or Ethel. I love naming my pets people names that sound like somebody's grandma.
How about Sybil, Doris, Or if it's a boy Ralf , Elmer, Chester!

I will get back to you on this one; whilst posting on a few other threads I will think of a great name.

 

I wasn't allowed to change his name. He had a cold and I took him to the vet and I had to fill out the form and when I said I wanted to change his name they were like " sorry you are not allowed to do that because he is registered with us under the name Smokie"
They suck! I bought a damn cat for like $200...and donated another $50...and I can't give my cat a GOOD name?! I wanted to ask for my $50 dollars back and be like...you can have it back when you stop being retarded! Oh well.

1) Mescal (after the Mexican cactus/liquor). My husband named his kitty Mescal in college. He and his roomies used to put a paper sack over Mescals head and blow pot smoke into it....got her high....she was a crazy cat. Used to sleep in the middle of the road...people would just drive around her, not touching her at all.


2) Murphy....good name for a cool cat. He lived to be nine yrs old. Got eaten by coyotes last year a week before we moved from Colo. to GA.....cried my eyes out after I found his fur everywhere....coyotes howled all night the same night he disappeared....

I vote Leonard, but don't take that name, cuz that's what im naming my black cat.

 

Actually if I change the name they will take the cat away...somwhere between the 1st month and the 6th month, they will come and check your home to make sure that the cat is doing okay...sooo if they call it smokie and he doesn't come then I'd be in trouble.

 

Actually I like the name Smokie, my kids had a cat with that name yrs ago. But do you mean that I can legally change my own name but I can't change a cat's name? Who made up that dumb law?
