Pearl Jam yep they were beast of the rockscene but i think it s over now... Their 3 first record were quite good... i think that they're over... even a band older like Saxon are more impressive in 2006... but naturally if we copare them to the wide rock world... The Pearl Jam of 2006 still have 2 or 3 bullets in their rock n volver

I listen to another rock n volver cult band

    UFO
    "Gettin' Ready"
    -Lights Out- lp 1977

a successfull band in the 70s in a hardbluespop style ...in the same family than led zep... or a sort of cleaner Pink Fairies...

In the end of the Decade They loses their quite important bassist (Pete Way) & their Cult guitarist Michael Schenker ... They will never recover commercially & artistically ... a bit like Pearl Jam...

Cobain was a good songwriter, not the biggest fan of grunge however, not complicated enough.

I just buy it today This is the 1st solo album of the guitarist of Pink Floyd
And it s surprisingly good...not a classic but good...It sounds as expected as something recorded between Animals & The Wall...

good band but not as big as their singers last project... i will always regret that Janes Addiction break just when they were becoming HUGE... Their 1990 last album is in my TOP 10 of the 90s ... It mix All ... Psychedelic alt.heavy metal with Madchester ecstatic rythmn... giant... it s rare that im fan of modern US bands... (4 me modern is the 20 last years... cause rock n roll is 50 yo now)

I know that you man...you dont like that but i choose one more time those damned ...

    ...Moody Blues
    "New Horizons"
    -Seventh Sojourn- LP 1972

Probably Their last album classic album... The first time i listen to it years & years ago i dont liked this record... it sound too dated... but with a few listen and an immersion in those prog bands world... thoses sounds became close to me...it brings emotions & adventure (in oppostion with the modern dry plastic productions without surprise)... and the years of separation slowly evaporate... the spirit & soul remains always ...no matter if you listen to it in 2033...

This track is one of my best ever of The Moody blues

I dont know Harold Hash but his name remind me something good...
I m happy to know that you nearly heard Moody Blues... it s always better than paint a cross over their frontsleeve... reassure me ... you're not one of those strange Black Sabbath fanatics...?

    i listen to

    Kasabian
    "Empire"
    -Empire- New LP sept 2006

Their video pass on MTV ...it s one of the best new rock bands but well their new 2nd album is not as good as their more "revolt sounding" 1st...
...I even think to change my name... they dont rule as well as before...

I'm not too sure who they are.

No, I'm not a Black Sabbath fan. Not really all that big into metal. I can get into some nice doom and sludge though.

    Levodopa - Laura

    It's some nice Melbourne post-rock for ya'll.

Never heard of it. Not to be generalising, but experience learned me I really don't like most postrock-like bands.

Country Joe & the Bevis Frond - Bass strings

Best version of Bass strings I've ever heard. Fantastic! If you like Country Joe you have to check his album with the Frond out. :)

Country Joe & the Fish made psychedelic folk rock in the sixties, man. Never heard of it? He made a live album that has extreme good sound with the Bevis Frond (not a very interesting band except on this album in my opinion) a few years ago, doing songs of Country Joe. I really recommend it.

Captain Beefheart is great as well :)

I'm listening to Davey Graham - Leaving blues.
